Common problems for pregnant women: what to do if progesterone is low during pregnancy

Diet therapy

If the progesterone level is low during pregnancy, the doctor recommends going to the hospital for treatment, supplementing with natural progesterone under the doctor's instructions, and eating foods such as soybeans to help increase progesterone levels (lutein copper). It cannot be obtained solely from food, because the lutein copper content in food is very low.

Eating some peaches, grapefruits, hawthorns, strawberries, kiwis, pears, etc., which are rich in pectin and dietary fiber, will not cause a large fluctuation in blood sugar levels. Fresh fruit also has the following advantages:

(1) The fresh color and aroma can stimulate appetite.

(2) Contains rich vitamin C, which can promote digestion, prevent arteriosclerosis and anti-aging.

(3) The sugar content is lower than that of a regular meal, the volume is larger, and it is easy to cause a feeling of fullness.

(4) The gum arabic and dietary fiber contained in it can slow down the digestion and absorption of glucose.

Medicinal supplements

The corpus luteum copper is used clinically for the reflective diagnosis of amenorrhea or the causes of amenorrhea such as threatened abortion and habitual abortion.

Intramuscular injection, 10-20 mg per time.

(1) Habitual abortion: 10-20 mg is injected intramuscularly once a day or 2-3 times a week until the fourth month of pregnancy.

(2) Dysmenorrhea: Inject 5-10 mg daily 6-8 days before the menstrual period for a total of 4-6 days. The treatment process can be repeated many times. For dysmenorrhea caused by uterine hypoplasia, it can be used in combination with estrogen.

(3) Menorrhagia and menorrhagia: 10-20 mg is injected intramuscularly every day. One course of treatment is 5-7 days. It can be repeated for 3-4 courses, with an interval of 15-20 days between each course.

(4) Amenorrhea: After giving estrogen for 2 to 3 weeks, immediately give this product 3 to 5 mg per day. A treatment course is 6 to 8 days. The total dosage should not exceed 300 to 350 mg. The treatment course can be repeated 2 to 3 times.
