Daily Fresh sold 7 batches of samples including Xiangyang Wojiangyuan Food’s spicy yam slices that failed to meet the standards

On the 13th, the State Administration for Market Regulation issued a "Notice on 7 Batches of Unqualified Food" (hereinafter referred to as the "Notice") on its official website, stating that the State Administration for Market Regulation recently organized food safety supervision and sampling, sampling 465 batches of samples of 16 major categories of food, including edible agricultural products, salt, sugar, convenience foods, potatoes and puffed foods, soy products, bee products, vegetable products, fruit products, aquatic products, frozen drinks, candy products, infant formula, health foods, special dietary foods, and edible oils, fats and their products, and detected 7 batches of samples of 4 major categories of food, including edible agricultural products, convenience foods, potatoes and puffed foods, and bee products, which were unqualified. The main problems found were microbial contamination and excessive veterinary drug residues.

Among them, the spicy yam slices sold by Beijing MissFresh E-Commerce Co., Ltd. on MissFresh (mobile APP), which were labeled as produced by Chengdu Shudaoxiang Food Co., Ltd. in Sichuan Province and commissioned by Xiangyang Wojiangyuan Food Co., Ltd. in Hubei Province, had coliform bacteria that did not meet the national food safety standards.

Microbial contamination issues

The spicy yam slices sold by Beijing Daily Youxian E-commerce Co., Ltd. on Daily Youxian (mobile APP) and labeled as produced by Sichuan Chengdu Shudaoxiang Food Co., Ltd. and commissioned by Hubei Xiangyang Wojiangyuan Food Co., Ltd., had coliform group test results of 130CFU/g; 35CFU/g; 80CFU/g; 50CFU/g; 15CFU/g, which did not meet the national food safety standards of n=5, c=2, m=10CFU/g, M=100CFU/g. The inspection agency was Ningbo Customs Technical Center.

The Jiazhen Cheese and Mushroom Instant Noodles (country of origin: Malaysia) sold by Zhejiang Metro Commercial Group Co., Ltd. Ningbo Yinzhou Department Store, labeled as imported by Shanghai Huangdi Import and Export Co., Ltd. and produced by Jiazhen Food Co., Ltd., had a total colony count of 13,000 CFU/g; 65,000 CFU/g; 65,000 CFU/g; 17,000 CFU/g; 19,000 CFU/g, which did not meet the national food safety standards of n=5, c=2, m=104 CFU/g, and M=105 CFU/g. The inspection agency was Ningbo Customs Technical Center.

Problems of excessive veterinary drug residues

The flower honey and native honey sold on Taobao.com (online store) by Taobao.com Qinqin Delicious Home (operator: Baole Food Supermarket, Keshan County, Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province) and labeled as produced by Shandong Liuyuehe Food Co., Ltd. commissioned by Anhui Suzhou Qingjun Trading Co., Ltd., were tested for chloramphenicol at 0.392μg/kg and 0.344μg/kg respectively, which do not meet the national food safety standards that prohibit detection. The inspection agency is Shenzhen Customs Food Inspection and Quarantine Technology Center.

The live sea bass sold by Henan Daha Industrial Co., Ltd. Jinshui District Xingfucheng Branch from Xiaoding Aquatic Products Trading Co., Ltd. in Zhengzhou City, Henan Province, was found to contain 242.1μg/kg of enrofloxacin after inspection by the Henan Provincial Product Quality Supervision and Inspection Institute, which does not meet the national food safety standard of ≤100μg/kg. Henan Daha Industrial Co., Ltd. Jinshui District Xingfucheng Branch raised objections to the inspection results and applied for re-inspection; after re-inspection by the Henan Provincial Port Food Inspection and Testing Institute, the initial inspection conclusion was maintained.

The pork elbow (pork) sold by Shandong Jinan Jialejia Supermarket Co., Ltd., Zhongtiejian International City Supermarket, which was from Shandong Weifang Zhucheng Huabao Food Co., Ltd., was found to contain 241μg/kg of enrofloxacin after inspection by Shandong Provincial Food and Drug Inspection Institute, which did not meet the national food safety standard of ≤100μg/kg. Shandong Jinan Jialejia Supermarket Co., Ltd. raised objections to the inspection results and applied for re-inspection; after re-inspection by Qingdao Product Quality Supervision and Inspection Institute, the initial inspection conclusion was maintained.

The bream sold by Anhui Yonghui Supermarket Co., Ltd. Feidong New Town Wuyue Plaza Branch, which came from Chebangding Aquatic Products Store in Yaohai District, Hefei, Anhui Province, had an enrofloxacin test result of 130μg/kg, which did not meet the national food safety standard of ≤100μg/kg. The inspection agency was Hefei Customs Technical Center.

The notice stated that for unqualified food found in the random inspections, the State Administration for Market Regulation has instructed provincial market supervision departments such as Beijing, Heilongjiang, Shanghai, Zhejiang, Anhui, Shandong, Henan, Hubei, and Sichuan to immediately organize verification and disposal, find out the flow of products, and take measures such as removing and recalling unqualified products to control risks; strictly deal with illegal and irregular acts in accordance with the law; and promptly disclose to the public the risk prevention and control measures and verification and disposal situations taken by enterprises, and report to the General Administration.
