Hot food can easily cause esophageal cancer? In fact, the main factor that induces cancer is most easily overlooked

Huazi had just made a pot of fragrant spicy hot pot. When he was about to eat it while it was hot, his wife grabbed his arm. She said to Huazi sternly, "If you eat it when it's so hot, aren't you afraid of getting esophageal cancer? Let it cool down before eating!" Although Huazi was greedy, he had no choice but to compromise in the face of "power".

After they had eaten their fill, Huazi said to his wife, who was in a good mood, "Although hot food may cause esophageal cancer, the best way to prevent cancer is to keep a happy mood. You should be more gentle to me in the future." Seeing his wife's puzzled look, Huazi hurriedly explained, "I am not making this up. It has a scientific basis!"

1. Hot food is not the "prime culprit" for esophageal cancer. In many popular science articles, people are advised not to "eat while it's hot." The reason is that high-temperature food will burn the esophageal mucosa, and in the process of repeated self-repair of the mucosal cells, mutations may occur, inducing cancer. However, hot food is not the "prime culprit" for esophageal cancer, but just one of many causes.

In addition to hot and scalding foods, long-term mental stress, eating moldy foods, family history of cancer, chronic esophageal inflammation, drinking, long-term consumption of high-salt, fried, spicy foods, insufficient intake of vegetables and fruits, air pollution and other factors are all common high-risk factors for esophageal cancer.

2. "Mental stress" is the most easily overlooked factor. Among the various factors that cause esophageal cancer, there is one factor that is most easily overlooked, which is long-term mental stress. In relevant tumor epidemiological studies, the risk of long-term mental stress inducing cancer is 5 times higher than that of hot and scalding food, making it the most dangerous factor.

Many people may not understand why mental stress can lead to cancer? Because healthy people will produce about 6,000 cancer cells every day, but the human body has a strong immune system that can eliminate these cancer cells and will not develop into cancer. However, when mental stress is sustained for a long time, the body's immunity will be weakened, and cancer cells will naturally take advantage of the opportunity to enter.

3. How to prevent esophageal cancer 1. Keep a good mood: The most important thing to prevent esophageal cancer is to avoid mental stress and keep a good mood. In fact, a good mood can have a good preventive effect on all cancers. But everyone faces different life problems, so the way to keep a good mood varies from person to person.

2. Have a stable economic income: People with a stable economic income have stronger stress resistance, more regular meals, and stable medical insurance support.

3. Improve bad living habits: Esophageal cancer is highly correlated with factors such as eating hot food, pickled food, moldy food, smoking, and excessive drinking. Therefore, in life, do not "eat hot food while it is hot", eat less pickled food, quit smoking and limit alcohol, which can reduce the probability of esophageal cancer.

4. Pay attention to genetic and environmental factors: Esophageal cancer has a genetic tendency and a high incidence in certain regions. Agricultural products and drinking water in areas with a high incidence of esophageal cancer contain high levels of nitrite. Excessive intake of nitrite can be converted into highly carcinogenic nitrosamines in the stomach, inducing esophageal cancer. If there are genetic and environmental factors, pay attention to timely screening.

5. Timely treatment of related diseases: If chronic esophageal inflammation, esophageal ulcers, and abnormal esophageal epithelial hyperplasia are found, timely intervention is required, especially for dysplasia and severe hyperplasia, which are usually precursors of esophageal cancer.

6. Pay attention to the supplement of trace elements: The deficiency of vitamins (such as B vitamins) and trace elements (such as zinc and selenium) is considered to be an important carcinogenic factor. Therefore, you should pay more attention to eating vegetables and fruits and supplementing trace elements.

To sum up, in addition to hot and scalding diet, esophageal cancer is also related to many factors. Among them, the most dangerous and the most easily overlooked is the impact of mental state on immunity. Keeping a good mood is the best way to prevent cancer.
