If you don’t get hemorrhoids, you can be called a koi!

Recipient: Little Agent Old Detective

Topic: Hemorrhoids

I've been feeling like becoming a gold medal mediator lately.

Do you remember the old agent? Last time, Fatty and his assistant had a little quarrel because of slippers. I think I still owe you a follow-up. ☞This is a fun science article: How to cure athlete's foot

Later, I did a fungal microscopic examination on Pangza and found that there was no fungus on his feet that could cause athlete's foot, but there were a lot of bacteria that could cause foot odor... Pangza bought a new pair of slippers for the assistant girl, and he took the pair that was disliked home to wear. Look, the mediator's work had not been put down for long, and he had to pick it up again - Pangza and the assistant girl had a disagreement on hemorrhoids again.

The cause of hemorrhoids has not yet been fully clarified. The medical community believes that it is all related to the "anal cushions".

What we usually call the anus is actually just an outlet for excreting waste. The anal cushions and sphincter are the gatekeepers that control the outlet.

The anal cushions are located under the anal canal mucosa and are composed of veins, smooth muscles, elastic tissue and connective tissue. They can assist the sphincter to completely close the anus and act as a gatekeeper - during defecation, the anal cushions are pushed down and can retract to their original position after defecation.

However, if the intra-abdominal pressure is high, the fiber elastic structure of the anal cushion will be more easily damaged, and the veins around the anus will become varicose due to the increase in intra-abdominal pressure. The anal cushion will gradually become enlarged and displaced outward, forming hemorrhoids. Humans are different from other animals. They are used to walking upright. Walking upright can free people's hands, but the gravity of the head, chest and abdominal organs will increase the intra-abdominal pressure. Therefore, compared with other animals, humans are really prone to hemorrhoids.

What Fat Za and his assistant said about nine out of ten men and ten out of ten women having hemorrhoids is actually the possibility of having hemorrhoids. As mentioned earlier, if you have hemorrhoids, you need to move the anal cushions outward. This is very simple, as long as you can do two things: relax the anal cushions and increase the intra-abdominal pressure.

Age As you age, the anal cushions become loose, enlarged, easily damaged and bleeding, and are prone to hemorrhoids. Constipation When defecating, constipated patients will repeatedly hold their breath and exert force, which increases the intra-abdominal pressure and easily induces hemorrhoids. Sitting or standing for a long time Sitting in a chair for a long time, or standing for a long time, the area around the anus is compressed by most of the body weight, and the perianal veins are prone to varicose, causing the anal cushions to move outward and cause hemorrhoids. Pregnancy During pregnancy, the enlarged uterus will form compression, increase intra-abdominal pressure, and is particularly prone to causing hemorrhoids.

In addition, the pressure on the abdominal cavity is also related to endocrine, mental and other factors. Pelvic tumors, prostate hyperplasia and other problems can also cause increased intra-abdominal pressure and may lead to hemorrhoids.

I don’t know if our young agents and old detectives have discovered that some triggering factors of hemorrhoids are unique to women, such as pregnancy, uterine fibroids, etc.; some triggering factors are unique to men, such as prostate hyperplasia; it is difficult to tell the difference between men and women in the incidence of hemorrhoids.

A survey shows that hemorrhoids affect about 1/3 of adults, and about half of people over 50 years old are troubled by hemorrhoids. Whether it is nine out of ten men or ten out of ten women, it is just to illustrate the prevalence of "hemorrhoids" and to remind everyone.

Since hemorrhoids are such a common disease, as an alpha in the medical and health science community, I have to give it some information.

When talking about hemorrhoids, many people think of "pain".

But not all hemorrhoids are painful. The place where the hemorrhoids appear determines whether and how they hurt.

There is a line inside the anus called the dentate line, which divides the inside and outside of the anus; hemorrhoids growing inside the dentate line are internal hemorrhoids; hemorrhoids growing outside the dentate line are external hemorrhoids; hemorrhoids growing on the dentate line, or having both internal and external hemorrhoids at the same time are called mixed hemorrhoids.

Internal hemorrhoids

The part above the dentate line is covered with mucosa. The venous vessels become varicose and tangled under the pressure of the intra-abdominal region, and protrude from the intestinal cavity against the mucosa. The red, swollen and fragile mucosa is easily scratched and bleeds when force is applied during defecation. Over time, internal hemorrhoids may even prolapse outside the anus.

Internal hemorrhoids generally do not cause pain even when there is blood in the stool. However, if the prolapsed internal hemorrhoids are stuck outside the anus, it will often lead to infection, erosion, thrombosis and even necrosis, and the internal hemorrhoids will also cause varying degrees of pain.

In order to describe the severity of internal hemorrhoids, hemorrhoids are medically divided into 4 degrees according to symptoms:

In the first degree, there is blood, blood dripping, or blood on toilet paper during defecation. The amount of bleeding is small and can stop on its own, and the hemorrhoids will not prolapse outside the anus. In the second degree, the hemorrhoids prolapse during defecation, and the prolapsed part automatically retracts after defecation, and sometimes bleeds. In the third degree, the hemorrhoids will prolapse outside the anus during defecation or when standing for a long time, coughing, fatigue, or carrying heavy objects. The internal hemorrhoids need to be pushed back into the anus by hand, and bleeding often occurs. After the fourth degree hemorrhoids prolapse from the anus, they cannot be pushed back into the anus; or after being pushed back into the anus, the hemorrhoids continue to prolapse, and sometimes bleed. External hemorrhoids

The area below the dentate line is covered with skin. After straining during bowel movements or strenuous activities, the veins around the anus rupture and blood penetrates into the subcutaneous tissue, which may form blood clots. The pain nerves in the skin around the anus are relatively sensitive, and external hemorrhoids are prone to anal discomfort and pain.

Mixed hemorrhoids

Hemorrhoids that exist simultaneously with internal and external hemorrhoids are called mixed hemorrhoids. When internal hemorrhoids develop to grade III or above, mixed hemorrhoids are likely to form.

It is just slight bleeding and hemorrhoids may occasionally prolapse. For these relatively mild symptoms, applying some medicine can repel the hemorrhoids.

The main function of these drugs is generally to form a mucous protective film on the rectal mucosa, which can effectively isolate feces, protect the damaged mucosa, and allow it to repair itself quickly; some drugs also contain ingredients such as titanium dioxide and zinc oxide, which can relieve itching, anti-inflammatory, and reduce mucosal congestion. They also have a certain lubricating effect, which is conducive to the excretion of feces.

The symptoms of hemorrhoids are relatively serious. Depending on the situation, you can take drugs to promote microcirculation and reduce local anal edema under the guidance of a doctor; take some laxatives that can increase intestinal peristalsis, reduce defecation resistance, and relieve constipation; if hemorrhoids have an acute attack and edema or even incarceration occurs, anti-inflammatory, anti-edema, and analgesic drugs can be used.

If hemorrhoids develop to the point where they protrude with every bowel movement, or become lodged in the anus and cannot be retracted, your doctor may recommend surgery.

Hemorrhoids are like acne on the surface of the skin. It is difficult to guarantee whether they will recur. Although hemorrhoids can be temporarily soothed by drugs or removed by surgery, we still have to sit or stand for a long time, and the intra-abdominal pressure that should be reduced cannot be reduced at all. Coupled with occasional constipation, hemorrhoids may reappear if you hold your breath and concentrate for a while. Alpha has 4 tips for preventing hemorrhoids, which young agents and old agents can write down: 1. To prevent constipation, eat more green leafy vegetables, sweet potatoes, corn and other foods containing crude fiber, and drink more water, which can increase the volume of food in the intestines and help with bowel movements. It is best to develop a habit of regular bowel movements, and the time spent on the toilet should not exceed 10 minutes. Cultivate the body's natural response and do not force the bowel. 2. Hot water sitz bath Hot water can promote local blood circulation, which is beneficial for preventing hemorrhoids. Sometimes, after local hot compresses and the use of anti-edema and analgesic drugs, the pain of external hemorrhoids can be relieved and surgery can be avoided. 3. Exercise for 30 minutes. Taking 3 to 4 days a week to exercise for about 30 minutes can promote local blood circulation, relieve constipation, and reduce the occurrence of hemorrhoids. Exercises such as brisk walking and swimming are also acceptable.

Anal lifting exercises can improve blood circulation in the perineum, improve the function of the anal sphincter, prevent anal relaxation, and are very effective for hemorrhoids.

The levator ani exercise is a form of exercise that involves lifting and contracting the anus regularly and then relaxing it. This exercise has no limitations and can be done while sitting, lying or standing. When you inhale, lift your anus upward and tighten it, and relax it when you exhale. Each time you relax and tighten the anus counts as one time, and 15 times counts as one set. Do 2 sets a day.

I have talked so much about the treatment of hemorrhoids, including the specific drugs for treating hemorrhoids, their active ingredients, and specific surgical methods for hemorrhoids... Alpha hasn't finished yet, so I'll have to find time to talk about it in detail next time.

The only way to defeat martial arts in the world is to be fast, and the treatment of diseases also needs to be "fast". If you find traces of hemorrhoids, go to the hospital early and take medicine under the guidance of the doctor. Don't be shy about treating it just because it grows in a special position, which will delay it to the point where you have to have surgery.

Well, I have successfully resolved the small disagreement between Fat Za and the assistant girl. Today's gold medal mediator will go off work first. I will open again tomorrow. Use strength to make feelings come true. If one day you find that I bow my head in front of mediocrity, please fire at me.
