When do the tourist buses for Mount Emei usually depart?

The operating hours of Emeishan tourist buses are divided into three categories: off-season, peak season and Golden Week.

Off-season (November 1st - April 25th: Upward time 7:00-16:00, downward closing time 18:00

Peak season (April 26-October 30): Upward time 6:00-17:00, downward closing time 18:00

Golden Week: 5:00-17:00, every ten minutes in the morning and every half hour in the afternoon

Where to take the bus to Mount Emei

To go to Mount Emei from outside the scenic area, you can take a train to Emei Railway Station, which is about 15 minutes away from Mount Emei Scenic Area. You can also take a train to Chengdu Station, take a bus to Chengdu Xinnanmen Station and transfer to a tourist bus, which runs every 30 minutes on average. There are buses from Leshan Central Station and Xiaoba Station to Mount Emei, which run every 30 minutes on average. Chongqing Caiyuanba Passenger Transport Center has buses at 9:00 and 11:00 every morning.

Please note that there are two Emei Bus Stations. One is the Jiuzhu (long-distance) passenger transport center, located in the downtown area of ​​Emei Mountain, about 6 kilometers away from the scenic area; the other is the tourist passenger transport center in the scenic area. Therefore, be sure to ask the destination clearly when getting on the bus.
