What causes high testosterone in women?

Testosterone in women is a steroid hormone androgen, which is metabolized by the uterus and ovaries. Adrenaline also metabolizes a small amount of testosterone. It mainly plays a role in maintaining and promoting sexual characteristics, which is equivalent to androgen generally speaking. Women's estrogen secretion far exceeds the amount of androgen. If women's androgen level is too high, it often causes: the appearance of fine beards, hirsutism, hoarse voice, and daily life behavior similar to that of men. General endocrine imbalance and ovarian syndrome can cause high testosterone!

However, the causes of high testosterone levels in women can be divided into two categories. The first is multifunctional, mainly due to menstrual irregularities caused by endocrine disorders. The second is organic, mainly caused by gynecological diseases such as pelvic inflammatory disease, endometritis, etc., which cause irregular menstruation.

Because high testosterone levels in women can affect menstruation, the common manifestations are menstrual disorders, amenorrhea, or scanty menstruation. Therefore, if a woman has high testosterone, it means that her ovaries are not very good and she can take contraceptive drugs such as Diane 35 to treat it.

It is also recommended that patients eat some foods containing vitamin B2 group such as walnut kernels, almonds, and dried beans between meals. Eat more meat, eggs, tofu, soybeans and other high-protein foods for lunch and dinner to replenish the nutrients and minerals lost during the menstrual period to increase testosterone levels.

There are many reasons for high testosterone in women, such as excessive work pressure, staying up late at night, and polycystic ovary syndrome. Too high a testosterone level can affect a woman's reproductive function, and in severe cases can even cause her to become infertile. Therefore, we must pay attention to this kind of symptoms. It is best to start from the daily life, pay attention to maintaining a calm state of mind, relax your emotions, and don't stay up late at night for a long time. In terms of diet, pay attention to eating light and healthier foods. You can eat more fresh fruits and vegetables, but you should avoid eating foods with greater stimulation, which can effectively prevent the occurrence of symptoms.
