2. When opening and closing doors, keep your palms as dry as possible without sweat or moisture, otherwise moisture will oxidize and fade when in contact with metal.

3. Close windows and doors when the humidity in the air is high. This can prevent outdoor fog from entering the room and oxidizing the metal, thus causing the lock to fade.

4. Don't use a rag to wipe your tools. Metals that come into contact with water are particularly prone to oxidation.

5. Purchase zinc alloy material with high-quality surface electroplating.

Small brands or low-priced manufacturers generally do not do this. The main reasons are: ① It must be new zinc material, otherwise there will be bubbles on the surface of the lock after electroplating. ② The surface of the lock must be polished by hand, and some low-end manufacturers' locks are not polished by hand at all. ③ The surface of the lock is full, and the electroplating is generally two bottoms and three sides. ④ The surface of the lock is bright, smooth and flawless. These can only appear with high-quality electroplating.

What kind of lock material is not easy to fade?

1. Currently, the only materials in the lock industry that will not rust or fade are 304 steel and pure anodized aluminum. Among them, 304 steel has the best oxidation resistance and high hardness, while the biggest disadvantage of anodized aluminum is that it is not hard enough.

2. Copper: This type of material is mainly used in high-end locks, and the general price is more than 400 yuan. However, due to the great competitive pressure in recent years, copper locks have saved a lot of costs on surface treatment in order to reduce costs, and the price has dropped to more than 200 yuan, but its oxidation resistance has decreased. If you only spent more than 200 yuan on the copper lock you bought, its surface should not have been electroplated, but just polished and sprayed with a protective paint.

3. Painted locks; this type of lock has a thick protective layer of metal paint on its surface, which is like car paint and is relatively wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant. Painted locks on the market are mainly ivory white. In order to reduce costs, some mobile phones are spray-painted on the surface, and consumers are also told that they are painted. The biggest difference between the two is that paint is not easy to change color or oxidize during use; while spray paint is easy to turn yellow during later use.

4. Locks treated with 24k real gold; locks with this surface treatment were particularly popular three or four years ago; a kind of local tyrant gold with a magnificent aristocratic atmosphere, deeply loved by wealthy people, but in recent years, golden locks are not particularly popular, and give people a very "earthy" feeling, but its oxidation resistance is the best after steel and aluminum are painted.
