Why does car oil contain water?

4. There are sand holes on the cylinder liner and cylinder head, and cooling water enters the oil sump.

Water in the engine oil will destroy lubrication, corrode parts, and cause harm to the engine. Therefore, you should pay attention to drainage at ordinary times, such as loosening the oil drain screw at the bottom of the oil, loosening the drain screw of the oil-water separator, and draining the water.

What to do if there is water in the car oil

First, determine the amount of water. If it is just emulsified, it may be a problem with the oil. There are actually a lot of counterfeit and inferior motor oils on the market. If the manufacturing process is not in place, a small amount of water can easily be mixed in. It cannot be distinguished by the naked eye, but when the high temperature of the engine is added, the oil and water mixture will emulsify.

If there is a lot of water, check the oil radiator, cylinder gasket and cylinder liner seal. Also check if there is any oil in the kettle. In this case, the engine is likely to have internal damage. Can you still drive your car if there is water in the engine oil?
