How to identify the quality of perfume

The color of the perfume

High-quality perfume must be a clear, transparent, high-definition liquid without any precipitation. Generally, it does not contain pigments and does not change color after 24 hours at a temperature of 30 degrees Celsius.

The scent of perfume

High-quality perfume has a pure fragrance that can last for a period of time. It has no pungent alcohol smell or other unpleasant smells. According to the stability of the fragrance and the composition of the fragrance, perfumes and floral water are divided into four grades: special grade and grade A, B, and C. Under certain conditions, the fragrance of fantasy-type special-grade perfumes sprinkled on textiles should last for no less than 70 hours, and that of floral-scented perfumes should last for no less than 60 hours. High-quality perfumes for daily use belong to grade A products. Grade B and C perfumes and floral water are basically used for hygiene purposes.

Perfume packaging

Perfumes that please women's sense of smell often rely on the visual image of perfume products for promotion. Like other commodities, the fineness of the packaging often reflects the intrinsic quality of the commodity. The outer packaging of perfume is a display of the inner quality of perfume. When identifying the quality of perfume, special attention should be paid to the sealing of the perfume bottle. The mouth of the bottle and the cap should be tight and without gaps, otherwise it is easy to cause alcohol to evaporate and dry up. In addition, attention should be paid to whether the perfume packaging is neat, whether the pattern is clear, and whether there are any defects such as cracks on the appearance of the bottle. If the perfume bottle has a spray nozzle, the spray nozzle should also be checked to see if it is flexible and leaking.

How to use perfume

1. Essence is applied in a "dot" manner, perfume is applied in a "line" manner, and eau de toilette is applied in a "surface" manner. The lower the concentration, the wider the application range.

2. Seven-point method: First, spray the perfume on the left and right wrist veins respectively, touch the corresponding wrist veins with the middle and ring fingers of both hands, then touch the back of the ears and the back of the neck; lightly gather the hair and stay at the end of the hair for a while; touch the corresponding inner elbows with the wrists of both hands; use a sprayer to spray the perfume on the left and right sides of the waist, touch the fragrance sprayed parts of the waist with the left and right fingers respectively, then touch the inner thighs, the inner knees of the left and right legs, and the inner ankles with the fingers dipped in perfume, and the seven-point perfume rubbing method ends here. Note that there should be no friction in all the light touches during the perfume rubbing process, otherwise the organic components in the fragrance will react chemically and may destroy the original flavor of the perfume.

3. Spray method: Before getting dressed, hold the sprayer about 10-20 cm away from the body, spray the mist perfume, the wider the spraying range, the better, then stand in the mist for 5 minutes; or spray the perfume in the air in a large area, and then slowly walk through the mist. This way, the perfume can fall evenly on the body, leaving a light fragrance.

4. Apply the perfume in a small area or spray it on the pulse points: behind the ears, inside the wrists, and behind the knees. Apply the perfume in a small area or spray it on the pulse points, and avoid using it on the pulse points on the chest and shoulder blades.

Perfume, cologne or eau de toilette, because the essential oil content is not very high, will not damage the fat fiber of clothes, so you can spray and use it freely, for example: on the pulse point, inside the clothes, on the hair or in the air.

5. Applying perfume to the parts with high body temperature is more effective. Basically, the body temperature inside is higher than that outside; in addition, the fragrance rises upward, so applying perfume to the lower body is more effective than applying it to the upper body.

6. Do not apply perfume in places exposed to sunlight, because alcohol will leave spots on the skin under exposure to the sun. In addition, ultraviolet rays will cause chemical reactions in the organic ingredients in the perfume and cause skin allergies.

7. Perfume can be sprayed on clean, freshly washed hair. Dirt or grease on the hair will cause the perfume to deteriorate. Also, it should not be sprayed on dry and brittle hair to avoid damaging the hair.

8. Perfumes are organic ingredients and can easily react with gold, silver and pearls, causing them to fade and damage. Therefore, perfume cannot be sprayed directly on jewelry. You can spray perfume first and then wear jewelry.

9. Cotton and silk can easily leave marks, so never spray them on fur, as it will not only damage the fur but also change the color.

10. Perfume sprayed on wool and nylon clothes is not easy to leave spots. However, the fragrance will be difficult to dissipate on pure wool clothes.

What are the taboos of using perfume?

1. Do not spray perfume on exposed parts that are easily exposed to the sun. Because some of the spices in perfume are volatile oils extracted from natural plants, some of these volatile oils contain furanocoumarin ingredients, such as bergamot oil, etc. If sprayed on the face and parts that are easily exposed to the sun, the long-wave ultraviolet rays in the sunlight will combine with these chemicals sprayed on the skin, resulting in photochemical reactions, and finally causing skin inflammation and dark spots on the face.

2. Perfume should not be applied directly on the face or allergic skin. Perfume contains a lot of alcohol, especially floral water, which has a higher alcohol content and is more irritating. Therefore, it is not suitable to be applied directly on the face, allergic skin and baby skin.

3. Perfume should not be sprayed directly on the skin, because if the skin is stimulated by alcohol for a long time, it may cause allergies. Therefore, the use method should be changed. Depending on the situation, perfume can be sprayed on clothes to emit fragrance.

4. Perfume should not be too strong or sprayed too much, otherwise it will be counterproductive and easily lead to olfactory disorders, which is not good for the spirit. It can also easily give people a feeling of arrogance, vanity and self-admiration.

5. Perfume should not be applied on the forehead, armpits, inside shoes and other parts prone to sweating, because these parts have a lot of sweat, which can easily dilute the perfume, and the mixture of sweat and fragrance will produce a strange odor.

6. Perfume should not be sprayed on clothing items such as fur, gold and pearls, as perfume will make them lose their natural luster.

7. Two different perfumes should not be mixed together. The mixed scent will cause each of the original perfumes to lose its pure flavor and is likely to smell extremely unpleasant.
