How to tell the quality of dried osmanthus

First, smell its fragrance. If you can clearly feel the fragrance, it means that the osmanthus is OK. Then see if its surface is clean and the flower surface is complete. If it is clean and complete, it meets the first production requirement.

Look at the color of its surface. If it appears to be too dark yellow and dry, or even a little burnt, it means that the temperature was not controlled well during the drying process, and it was too high, causing the osmanthus to turn yellow and burn. Generally, the color of good dried osmanthus is more yellowish or a little close to white, and there will be no obvious burnt feeling on the edges of the flower surface.

Feeling after soaking in water: If the fragrance is diffused after soaking in water, and the water is clear and free of impurities, and the osmanthus is obviously complete and transparent, then generally such osmanthus is of higher quality. If the water has impurities and the fragrance is obviously very light or even absent, then the quality of this type of osmanthus is poor!
