Vegetables that pregnant women cannot eat

In daily life, every food has its own nutrients, but once it is not fresh, sprouted, uncooked, or cooked in non-traditional ways, it may produce toxins and harm your health. Pregnant women are a special group. If they accidentally consume these foods, it may affect the gastrointestinal health of pregnant women at the very least, or even threaten the safety of maternal and child products. Therefore, it is very important to know what foods you can't eat during pregnancy. So, what vegetables and fruits should not be eaten by pregnant women?

Green beans: According to ancient experience, pregnant women should avoid eating green beans. As mentioned in "Bencao Qiuzhen": Eggplant tastes sweet and has a cold nature, and is slippery and sharp in texture. It is especially harmful to pregnant women if they eat it. "Dietary Tips" also believes that eating eggplant after the beginning of autumn is harmful to the eyes. Women can suffer from uterus damage and infertility. Therefore, pregnant women should avoid eating it or take it with caution.

Purslane: Also known as purslane. It is cold and slippery in nature, so it is forbidden to eat it in the early stages of pregnancy, especially for those with habitual miscarriage. For example, "Bencao Zhengyi" mentioned that it can enter blood and remove blood stasis. Li Shizhen of the Ming Dynasty also believed that Portulaca oleracea could disperse blood, reduce swelling, and facilitate bowel movements and induce abortion. Modern clinical nursing believes that Purslane can contract the uterine smooth muscle. Therefore, pregnant women should avoid eating purslane, but this is an exception during labor. Eating more purslane may help them choose a normal delivery.

Water spinach: also known as slippery belly vegetable, watercress, and watercress. It is cold and slippery in nature, and has the disadvantage of dispersing blood. As the "Nanning City Pharmacopoeia" advises: Pregnant women should not take it. Especially pregnant women in the early stages of pregnancy and those who have habitual miscarriage (commonly known as slipped abortion in traditional Chinese medicine) should avoid eating it.

Sagittaria: Sagittaria has the effect of promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis. It is clearly stated in the "Sui Xi Ju Diet" that Ci Gu is good at breaking up blood, stimulating abortion, and benefiting the orifices. Eating too much will cause bleeding, especially for pregnant women. "Bencao Gangmu" also advises pregnant women not to eat it. Especially in the early stages of pregnancy and those with habitual miscarriage, it should be avoided. Products that promote blood circulation, remove blood stasis, break up blood, and facilitate abortion and benefit the orifices are not good for pregnancy.
