What are the symptoms of irregular menstruation?

The most common health condition for women is irregular menstruation. Many factors can cause women to suffer from irregular menstruation. The harm of irregular menstruation can easily cause infertility, sallow complexion, blood stasis, etc. Only when we have a better understanding of the clinical symptoms of irregular menstruation can we detect the existence of irregular menstruation symptoms as early as possible and promptly carry out appropriate treatment and care. So, what are the symptoms of irregular menstruation?

What are the symptoms of irregular menstruation

1. Early menstruation: Early menstruation means that the normal menstrual cycle suddenly becomes shorter than 21 days and lasts for more than 2 cycles, but the menstrual flow is normal. It belongs to the ovulatory type of functional uterine bleeding. The body temperature is biphasic during the ovulation period. The follicular phase is short, only 7 to 8 days, or the follicular phase is shorter than 10 days, or the body temperature rises by less than 0.5℃.

2. Delayed menstruation: Normal menstruation is regular, but the menstruation is delayed by more than 7 days, or even 40 to 50 days, and it continues for more than 2 physiological cycles, but the menstrual flow is normal. For those who ovulate, the body temperature during the ovulation period is biphasic, but the follicular phase is longer and the high temperature phase is slightly lower; for those who do not ovulate, the body temperature during the ovulation period is monophasic.

Amenorrhea: It is a common gynecological disease and can be caused by a variety of different reasons. Amenorrhea is generally divided into two types: primary and secondary. Anyone who has not had sex after the age of 18 is called primary amenorrhea; if a girl's menstruation stops for more than 6 months at any time after her menarche and before normal menopause (except during pregnancy or breastfeeding), it is called secondary amenorrhea.

3. Prolonged menstruation: The menstrual cycle is normal, the menstrual volume is normal, but the menstruation is long, the menstrual period exceeds 7 days, and even lasts for 2 weeks. People with inflammation usually have lower abdominal pain, which is aggravated during menstruation. They usually have a lot of leucorrhea, which is slightly yellow or white-yellow, thick and has a smell. Those with incomplete corpus luteum contraction are also accompanied by heavy menstrual flow; those with increased uterine wall repair still have a small amount of continuous vaginal bleeding after the normal menstrual period.

4. Menstrual disorders: irregular menstruation, early or delayed menstruation, cycle shorter than 21 days or longer than 35 days.

5. Bleeding in the middle and late stages of menstruation: (also known as mid-menstrual bleeding and ovulation bleeding). Refers to bleeding that occurs between two regular normal menstrual cycles. It is caused by a temporary drop in estrogen levels, which causes the uterine wall to lose the support of hormones and causes the uterine wall to fall off.

5.1. Irregular uterine bleeding. Includes: heavy or prolonged menstrual periods. It is often seen in uterine fibroids, uterine intrauterine polyps, endometriosis, etc.

5.2. Abnormal uterine bleeding due to imbalance of function: refers to abnormal uterine bleeding caused by imbalance of the endocrine regulation system without obvious organic diseases of the internal and external sexual organs. It is the most common type of menstrual disorder and is more common in puberty and menopause. It is divided into two categories: ovulatory and anovulatory, and about 85% of the cases are anovulatory functional uterine bleeding.
