Why is it that my period is still not over after more than ten days?

Why is it that my period is still not over after more than ten days?

If the menstrual period lasts for more than ten days and has not ended, there are generally the following situations: the first is pregnancy. Some women have no obvious history of amenorrhea and will regard irregular vaginal bleeding after pregnancy as normal menstruation, and will think that the menarche has not ended for more than ten days. Therefore, if this happens, blood HCG testing must be carried out to first determine whether abnormal uterine bleeding is caused by pregnancy.

After pregnancy, the next thing to consider is some organic diseases. If the patient has uterine intrauterine polyps, endometrial cancer, uterine fibroids, adenomyosis, etc., it is possible to cause continuous menstrual bleeding. Finally, if a woman is in menopause or puberty, she may experience anovulatory abnormal uterine bleeding, which is caused by the disorder of growth hormone. In fact, there are many reasons that lead to continuous menstruation, which can only be confirmed after the patient goes to the hospital for relevant examinations.

If the menstrual period is not over for more than ten days, it is considered as prolonged menstruation. The reasons for prolonged menstruation are: 1. Excessive fatigue during menstruation, excessive exercise and heavy physical work will cause prolonged menstruation and increased menstrual volume; 2. Taking blood-activating and blood-stasis-removing medicines, medicines or health products containing estrogen during menstruation; 3. The placement of contraceptive rings in the uterine cavity, endometriosis, pelvic inflammatory disease, etc., may also cause prolonged menstruation. In this case, you need to go to the gynecology department of a regular hospital for appropriate examinations immediately, and use medication to treat the disease after finding the cause.

Under normal circumstances, a menstrual period is within 3-7 days. If it is not clean after more than seven days, and there is bleeding for more than ten days, you must go to the hospital for relevant examination. First, do an early pregnancy test. If there are two bars on the early pregnancy test, non-menstrual bleeding is related to pregnancy. In general clinical medicine, it is generally like miscarriage and unclean, and this kind of spotty bleeding will occur. There are also cases where pregnancy may cause menstruation, ectopic pregnancy or ectopic pregnancy, and there may also be such a situation of uncleanness for more than ten days.
