Black blood and black residue after menstruation

Black blood and black residue after menstruation

After the menstrual period is over, the female vagina discharges gray-black blood again. In this case, you need to go to the obstetrics and gynecology department of the local tertiary hospital immediately for a pelvic B-ultrasound examination. Hysteroscopy can be performed when necessary to confirm the diagnosis of the disease. It is considered whether it is because of menstrual blood, which accumulates in the uterine cavity and flows out again after the menstrual period. However, the manifestation of gray-black blood does not rule out the possibility that it is caused by gynecological inflammatory diseases. Therefore, it is recommended that patients go to the hospital for treatment as soon as possible to avoid delaying treatment.

After the menstrual period, there is discharge of black blood and black residue. If you bleed after your period, there may be several issues:

One is that our menstrual cycle has increased. In the next few days, the amount of blood discharged is relatively small. The blood in the short term cannot flow out, and it accumulates in our body and develops a corruption problem, turning into hemosiderin, which flows out of the vagina. At this time, a black or dark brown color will appear.

Another situation is when we have an incisional diverticulum. At this time, the blood stays in this diverticulum and then flows out continuously. Because the amount is relatively small, it will also decay in our body and then flow out.

Therefore, if there is a post-menstrual diverticulum after the menstrual period, in other words, when the menstruation is irregular or the menstrual cycle is long, there will be symptoms such as black blood and black residue, so don't worry.

If there is pink discharge in the vagina after menstruation, the first thing to consider is the possibility of ovulation bleeding. Don't worry too much. If the amount of bleeding is small, ovulation bleeding usually lasts one to two days. Secondly, it may also be caused by luteal insufficiency and incomplete progesterone contraction. It is recommended to do a blood test to check the body's female hormones to see if there is any female hormone abnormality. You can use corresponding drugs for treatment.
