Breast cancer lymph node metastasis cure rate

The prevalence of breast cancer in clinical medicine is very high, the cause of the disease is not yet completely clear, and the harm is very great. It is recommended that treatment measures should be taken immediately after the disease is diagnosed. Nowadays, with the continuous development of medical technology, there are more treatment methods for this disease, and it has become one of the most effective solid tumors. In this regard, it is recommended that patients take treatment measures as soon as possible after the onset of the disease.

How much does it cost to treat breast cancer lymph node metastasis?

For breast cancer patients who have no medical knowledge, the problem can be simply expressed in terms of survival rate. First of all, breast cancer can be divided into four stages, that is, breast cancer has installments, divided into four stages.

Stage I means that the breast cancer tumor is less than 2 cm, and the lymph nodes have not migrated, and there is no migration to distant areas such as the liver, lungs, brain, and kidneys.

In the second stage, the diameter of the tumor is between 2cm and 5cm. The axillary lymph nodes may migrate, but there is no distant migration. This is called stage II breast cancer.

The third stage is when the tumor is 5 cm in diameter and the lymph nodes have already migrated, but there is no distant migration to the liver, lungs, brain, kidneys, etc. This is called the third stage of breast cancer.

Stage IV is the latest stage of breast cancer. No matter how big the tumor is, if it has already metastasized to distant places such as the liver, lungs, brain, and kidneys, it is stage IV breast cancer.

Based on different breast staging, the five-year survival rate of breast cancer can be roughly grasped. For breast cancer with a diameter of less than 2 cm in the first stage and no cancer metastasis, the five-year survival rate can reach more than 90%. For patients with stage II breast cancer, where the tumor is 2-5cm and there is cancer metastasis, the five-year survival rate can be around 60%-70%. For patients with stage III tumors with a diameter of more than 5 cm and metastatic lymph nodes, the five-year survival rate may be around 30%-40%. However, if the patient has metastasis in the fourth stage, the five-year survival rate is less than 10%. It would appear that the faster breast cancer is staged, the higher its survival rate. Therefore, the current treatment plan is early detection, early diagnosis, early treatment, and reliable treatment, so as to gradually improve the survival rate of breast cancer.

What should I do if breast cancer metastasizes to the lymph nodes?

Breast cancer metastasis is divided into regional metastasis and distant metastasis. Regional lymph nodes include the axillary, upper and lower neck lymph nodes, and internal mammary lymph nodes. The presence of such lymph node metastasis belongs to regional cancer metastasis, which can usually be completely removed through surgery. However, even if the cancer has metastasized locally, it cannot be classified as in the early stage. After surgical removal, in order to prevent local recurrence and distant metastasis, systemic radiotherapy is still needed. After the radiotherapy treatment process is completed, local chemotherapy is also needed to prevent local recurrence. If the lymph nodes in other parts of the body have metastasized, it should be considered as a terminal stage and should be treated with systemic treatment as the main approach.
