How to judge the urine routine test results during pregnancy?

Urine test during pregnancy is a physical examination item that should be conducted from the beginning of pregnancy to the delivery period of the pregnant woman. That is, each pregnant woman needs to undergo urine test about 9-13 times during pregnancy. The main function of urine testing during pregnancy is to predict and detect pregnancy-induced hypertension and avoid the occurrence of pregnancy-induced hypertension. How to judge the results of urine routine test during pregnancy?

1. Appearance

Normal urine is light yellow to brown in color, transparent without turbidity.

2. Urine Specific Gravity

The urine ratio should be kept between 1.015 and 1.025.

3. Uric acid alkalinity (pH)

The pH value of urine is usually maintained between 5.0 and 8.0; when the pH value is too high or too low, it is called alkaline urine (over 7.4) or alkaline urine (below 4.5), both of which are considered abnormal.

4. Occult blood reaction

The occult blood reaction measures the presence of hemoglobin to indicate bleeding in the urogenital system.

5. Urine sugar

Normally, the urine sugar level of a person should be negative before and after eating.

6. Proteinuria

Normal people will also have a small amount of this protein excreted in the urine (about 50-100 mg/day). If it exceeds 150 mg, it is not normal.

7. Sodium Nitrite

It indicates that there is bacterial infection in the urinary and reproductive system.

8. Urine Bilirubin

When there is total bilirubin in the urine, the color of the urine will change to brown, like the color of strong tea, also known as icteric urine, which is positive.
