Ovulation calculator

If the menstrual cycle is irregular, the time of the next menstrual period is difficult to calculate, but you can roughly estimate the 15th day after this menstrual period as the ovulation period. The ovulation period is related to factors such as the natural environment, mentality, physical condition, sexual life, contraceptive drugs, etc. Sometimes ovulation may occur early or two eggs may be released at a time, and sometimes ovulation may be delayed or there may be no ovulation temporarily. If you have sex after ovulation, the chances of getting pregnant are very high. How many days after ovulation can I test for pregnancy?

How to calculate ovulation period

The ovulation period mainly refers to the normal menstrual cycle, the perfected egg is discharged every month, and there is only one ovulation period. Having sex during this period can increase the chance of pregnancy. At present, the time of ovulation can be estimated through an ovulation calculator or manual calculation. Under normal menstrual cycle regularity, about 28 to 30 days, the 14 days before the next menstrual period is the ovulation period, 5 days before and 4 days after the ovulation period, a total of 10 days, belong to the ovulation period. It is very easy to get pregnant during the ovulation period, so it is also called the dangerous period of pregnancy or the fertile period. If the menstrual cycle is irregular, the ovulation period may be delayed or early and inaccurate, so you need to go to the hospital to monitor ovulation with B-ultrasound or measure the body temperature during ovulation.

What is ovulation day

A woman ovulates 400 eggs in her lifetime, and a maximum of 500 eggs. Generally speaking, ovulation occurs once a month. The environment, mentality, physical condition, sexual life, contraceptives and other factors all affect ovulation. The egg cell grows and develops in the ovary, continues to grow, and when it grows to about 1.8 cm, it becomes a mature follicle and is discharged from the ovary. The day when the egg cell is released becomes the ovulation period! The normal survival time of the egg cell is 12-24 hours. There are also reports that the egg cell can survive for 48 hours, which should be a relatively "healthy" egg cell. And male sperm has the ability to fertilize women's vagina for about 2-3 days. Therefore, the 5 days before and 4 days after ovulation, a total of 10 days within the ovulation period is called the ovulation period. If you have sex during these days, the probability of pregnancy is very high.

How to calculate ovulation

Since the probability of pregnancy during the ovulation period is high, how do we calculate the ovulation period? To calculate the ovulation period, the most important thing is to measure the ovulation period. Many women don't know when they ovulate. In fact, up to now, apart from B-ultrasound detection, there is no more accurate way to calculate the ovulation period. Even with B-ultrasound testing, you still need to test every day or the next day to detect the ovulation period, but we often don’t have the time and money to go to the hospital every day. Fortunately, we still have many ways to predict ovulation and use it as a reference for planning sexual intercourse. The following is an explanation:

Ovulation period calculation accuracy: ★★

Women's menstrual cycles vary in length, but the time interval between ovulation and the start of the next menstrual period is relatively fixed, usually about 14 days. Then, based on the relationship between ovulation and menstruation, the ovulation period can be calculated according to the physiological cycle. Using the following formula, it is easy to calculate after a period of testing:

Women with normal menstrual cycles: starting from the first day of the next menarche, the last 14 days or minus 14 days is the ovulation period, and the ovulation period plus the first 5 days and the last 4 days are called the ovulation period.

For example, taking the menstrual cycle as 30 days, the first day of this menstruation is May 29, then the next menstruation will be on June 29 (June 29 plus 30 days), and then subtract 14 days from June 29, then June 15 is the ovulation period. The ovulation period, the 5 days before and the 4 days after, that is, the ten days from June 10th to 19th is the ovulation period.

There is no regularity in the menstrual cycle: the formula for calculating the ovulation period is: the first day of ovulation = the number of days in the shortest menstrual cycle minus 18 days; the last day of ovulation = the number of days in the longest menstrual cycle minus 11 days.

For example, if the shortest menstrual period is 28 days and the longest is 37 days, you need to subtract 18 from the shortest regular period (28-18=10) and 11 from the longest regular period (37-11=26). Therefore, the 10th to 26th day after the menstrual period belongs to the ovulation period.
