Pictures of V-ring in the uterus

The contraceptive ring is much more convenient than other contraceptive products, but if it is left in place for too long, it will cause discomfort to the body and everyone's reaction is different. Different types of contraceptive rings have different common problems. So, what is the difference between a mother ring and a v-ring? Let's take a look at the things about mother rings and v-rings!

The difference between the mother ring and the V-ring

The difference is not that big. The mother's ring is V-shaped. Similar in shape to the uterus. Not easy to fall off, the mother's ring belongs to a special ring type, and its service life is generally 15-20 years. You need to rest for 3 days after the operation, do not do heavy physical work within a week, and avoid sexual intercourse and sitz baths within two weeks. It is normal to have a small amount of vaginal bleeding, backache, and lower abdominal distension after the insertion of the contraceptive ring. If it is mild, it will not be resolved and will usually heal in about a week. If the symptoms are serious, such as bleeding exceeding the menstrual volume, timely medical treatment is required.

The time for inserting the IUD is 3 to 7 days after the menstrual period. You can choose to insert the IUD when you are not having sex. It is recommended that after the IUD operation, you should refrain from sexual intercourse for more than ten days, avoid doing heavy physical work, take oral antibiotics to prevent inflammation and infection, and take oral hemostatic drugs. You must pay attention to hygiene to prevent inflammation and infection.

The appropriate time for insertion is 3-7 days after the menstrual period ends, after air pressure hysterectomy and curettage in the early pregnancy; after 3 months after childbirth or after the menstruation has stopped, when the uterus has recovered; after miscarriage or mid-term induced labor, when the uterus has recovered; and after half a year after caesarean section, if the condition is normal. The insertion target should be selected according to the applicable scope and contraindications required by each period. This contraceptive ring can be placed during breastfeeding, but when any contraceptive ring is placed in the uterus after giving birth, the risk of injury is higher and special care is required.

What are the side effects of contraceptive measures for women?

1. Vaginal bleeding

Since the contraceptive ring is a foreign body in the uterus, most women will experience vaginal bleeding three or four days after the ring is placed in the uterus. This kind of bleeding is normal and does not require treatment. It usually lasts no more than a week.

2. Increased menstrual flow

Three months after the IUD is inserted, a woman's menstrual flow will increase significantly and her menstrual period will also increase. The main reason is that the uterine wall is damaged by the friction of the IUD.

3. Abdominal pain

A very small number of women will experience abdominal pain or back pain after having an IUD inserted. The uterus of these women is more sensitive to the IUD, causing uterine contractions and resulting in abdominal pain or back pain.

4. Infection

The process of inserting and removing the IUD may cause female reproductive system infection. Women are prone to infection if they indulge in excessive sexual activity or have sex too soon after the IUD is inserted.

5. Excessive leucorrhea

Due to the long-term friction between the contraceptive ring and the uterus, it will stimulate the secretion of the cervix, and the external manifestation is excessive leucorrhea. If the leucorrhea lasts for a long time after the IUD is inserted and becomes thicker, it may indicate that the affected area is infected.
