Causes of redness and swelling of the female vulva

Because the private parts are adjacent to the urethra and anus, and are rubbed by the legs during movement, various inflammations can spread to the private parts. Female vulvitis, vaginitis, vulvar leukoplakia, local friction irritation and other reasons are the main factors causing vulvar redness and swelling.

Gynecologists say that female vulvitis refers to inflammation of the skin or mucous membranes of the vulva. There are two types: acute and chronic. Female vulvitis can be caused by many reasons, the most common ones are simple vulvitis, fungal vulvitis, infantile vulvitis, and vulvar inflammation caused by Trichomonas infection. When the private parts are inflamed, no matter what the cause is, the patient will show symptoms such as vulvar itching, vulvar redness, swelling, burning pain, etc.

What causes vulvitis in women?

Vulvitis is a major gynecological disease that causes redness and swelling of the vulva of female friends. It is mainly caused by not paying attention to the hygiene of the private parts and being stimulated by the following factors:

1. Irritation of female secretions: Due to increased female secretions or irritation from menstruation or menstrual pads, especially in cases of cervicitis and various vaginitis, there is a lot of secretions that flow to the private parts, which can cause varying degrees of vulvitis and lead to redness and swelling of the vulva.

2. Other irritating factors, such as: the sugar content in the urine of diabetics is directly irritating; patients with frequent urination are irritated by urine for a long time; patients with fecal fistula are irritated by feces when they have diarrhea and loose stools; intestinal pinworms.

3. Mixed infection: Due to the irritation of various aspects, mixed infection often occurs, and the pathogens are often Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, and Escherichia coli.
