Symptoms of precocious puberty in girls

In recent years, with the continuous changes in people's dietary structure and external environment, the number of children suffering from precocious puberty has increased. The probability of precocious puberty in girls is higher, but many parents are not sure whether their children have precocious puberty. Generally, there are four symptoms of precocious puberty in girls.

Precocious puberty is a condition that many children experience. From a gender perspective, girls are more likely to experience precocious puberty. So how do you determine whether a little girl has precocious puberty? Many parents are actually not very clear about the symptoms of precocious puberty in girls. Below we will introduce them to you from four aspects.

First, early breast development

Under normal circumstances, when girls reach puberty, a typical feature is the growth and development of breasts, which usually appears between the ages of 10 and 15. It is a manifestation of obvious secondary sexual characteristics. However, if a child has precocious puberty, the time of breast development will be earlier, and it may be more obvious at the age of seven or eight.

Second, armpit hair appears

Girls do not have noticeable body hair when they are young, but they will gradually grow armpit hair as they grow older. However, if a girl's armpit hair appears early, it indicates a tendency towards precocious puberty, and parents must pay close attention to it.

Third, menarche

It is a very important thing for women to have their period, which usually occurs between the ages of 10 and 15. If the period comes too late, it may be caused by malnutrition or delayed language development, but if the period comes too early, it may be a manifestation of precocious puberty.

Fourth, measure bone age early

As children grow and develop, their bones usually stop growing gradually between the ages of 18 and 20. However, if a girl stops growing in her teens or a little bit older, this may be caused by precocious puberty. The height of a girl usually stabilizes earlier than that of a boy, making it more likely for parents to ignore it.

The probability of precocious puberty in girls is higher than that in boys. However, some parents are not very clear about some symptoms, such as the development of breasts and armpit hair, early menarche and bone age mentioned above. Therefore, we remind everyone to pay attention to the health status of girls and seek medical attention as soon as possible if there is any abnormality.
