Is my breast swelling and enlargement a sign of pregnancy?

Breasts are one of the most direct reflections of a woman's charm. Full breasts can highlight your uniqueness, but breasts are also very sensitive. If they are not taken care of in all aspects, many symptoms will occur, affecting women's quality of life. Some people want to know if enlarged and painful breasts mean pregnancy? Let's learn about it together below.

Is breast enlargement and pain a sign of pregnancy?

Breast changes are not the only criterion for diagnosing early pregnancy. Generally, breast pain will occur when menstruation is approaching or when there is breast hyperplasia. It is recommended that if the menstrual period is overdue, a blood HCG test can be done to accurately determine whether you are pregnant. If it is inconvenient to go to the hospital, you can test it yourself with an early pregnancy test paper first.

What are the causes of breast pain?

1. Pain and swelling during puberty. Some girls will enter puberty between the ages of 9 and 13, especially when they have their periods. This pain and swelling will be more obvious when their periods are about to come. Girls do not need to worry too much about breast pain during puberty. This pain and swelling will usually subside slowly after the menstrual period comes back. In fact, it has a lot to do with the metabolism level of our growth hormone.

2. Breast pain after giving birth. After a woman becomes pregnant and gives birth, usually about three to seven days after delivery, her breasts will often be very painful, and there may even be lumps. This is actually because after giving birth, there is some blockage in the mammary glands, which makes it impossible for breast milk to be fully secreted, and the pain is caused by the obstruction of the mammary gland tubes.

3. Sexual intercourse. In fact, when a couple has sexual intercourse, the woman's breasts will often undergo some changes. If the sexual intercourse between the couple is not harmonious, or the woman's sexual needs cannot be met, the swelling of the breasts will not disappear easily, and this kind of persistent breast pain will undoubtedly occur over time.

Some people may experience enlarged and painful breasts when they are pregnant, but this does not mean that they are pregnant. If you want to clearly understand whether you are pregnant, you need to go to the hospital for a blood test immediately. Generally, the results of the blood test can be obtained within one day, and you must be on an empty stomach before the blood test.
