Fetal development chart at four months

Fetal development chart at four months

When becoming parents for the first time, you will undoubtedly be full of curiosity about the unborn fetus. You are already four months pregnant. Has the baby in the fetus already grown facial features, has it got hands and feet, and has it begun to take on a human shape? To what extent has the baby developed in the fourth month of pregnancy? Let us take a look at the actual growth and development of the fetus at four months.

Fetal length: 10-16cm, fetal weight: 25-110g.

13 weeks of pregnancy: fetal length: 10cm, fetal weight: 25g. The mean fetal biparietal diameter was 2.52±0.25cm, the mean fetal abdominal circumference was 6.90±l.65cm, and the femoral length was 1.17±0.31cm.

14 weeks of pregnancy: fetal length: 12cm, fetal weight: 28g. The mean fetal biparietal diameter was 2.83±0.57cm, the mean fetal abdominal circumference was 7.77±1.82cm, and the femoral length was 1.38±0.48cm.

15 weeks of pregnancy: fetal length: 14cm, fetal weight: 68g. The mean fetal biparietal diameter was 3.23±0.51cm, the mean fetal abdominal circumference was 9.13±1.56cm, and the femoral length was 1.74±0.58cm.

16 weeks of pregnancy: The baby is about 16cm long from head to hips and weighs about 110g. The mean fetal biparietal diameter was 3.62±0.58cm, the mean fetal abdominal circumference was 10.32±1.92cm, and the femoral length was 2.10±0.51cm.

In the fourth month of pregnancy, the fetus grows and develops rapidly! The body length may increase from 10cm to 16cm, growing very quickly. The fetus weighs about 110g. The eyes that were originally biased towards the sides have begun to converge forward, and look better! The fetus's bones seem to have turned into cartilage similar to rubber, and have begun to harden gradually.

If your baby is a girl, her vagina, uterus, and fallopian tubes are already in place. If it is a boy, the baby's sexual organs are already clearly visible. The human brain begins to divide specialized areas for the development of smell, taste, hearing, vision, and touch. Yellow spots have also begun to appear in the fetus's eyes. The baby is now a fully grown human being!
