1. If the inserted ring has reached the required period, you should go to the hospital immediately to remove the ring to prevent the ring from deforming or becoming ineffective in the uterus. Generally, metal rings can be stored for 20 years, silicone V-rings can be stored for 7 to 10 years, and sleeve T-rings can be stored for 10 to 15 years. A new ring can be put in while removing the IUD.

2. Before removing the IUD, you should first perform an X-ray or "B" type ultrasound examination. If the IUD contains a tail thread, you need to ask the doctor to dilate the vulva to see if there is any nylon thread outside the cervical opening to confirm that the ring is in the uterine body before removing the IUD. The best time to remove the IUD is within 3 to 7 days after the menstrual period is over, which can reduce bleeding.

4. Take appropriate anti-infection and hemostatic drugs after removing the IUD.

5. If there is a significant change in the menstrual cycle during menopause, such as the cycle lengthens or menopause lasts for more than 6 months, the ring should be removed immediately.

How long does it take to get pregnant after taking out the IUD?

Generally, pregnancy can only be achieved after 2-3 menstrual periods have been restored after the IUD is removed. Women of appropriate age should rest for 3 days after removing the IUD and are prohibited from having sex or taking a bath within 2 weeks to prevent infection.
