Are the three types of breast nodule cysts serious?

Breast nodule cysts are generally benign and are caused by poor breast structure or inflammation. However, when the nodules and cysts appear in category three, it is especially important to pay attention, because the chance of breast nodules deteriorating after reaching category four is about 20%. Therefore, category 3 breast nodules and cysts must be treated promptly, otherwise it may cause harm to future physical and mental health, breastfeeding, etc.

How to treat breast nodules in Western medicine

1. Drug treatment: such as tamoxifen, is only considered when the symptoms of breast nodules are severe and affect normal work and life.

2. Surgical treatment: Surgical treatment is not recommended for patients with simple breast nodules, because surgical treatment causes large damage, only treats the symptoms but not the root cause, is prone to recurrence, and requires a recovery period after surgery, which is unacceptable. However, if breast nodules do not respond to drug treatment and there is a lump that grows rapidly or becomes hard in a short period of time, the possibility of cancer should be highly suspected. If necessary, a biopsy or simple mastectomy should be performed. If cancer cells are found in frozen sections during surgery, the patient should be treated as having breast cancer.

Dietary considerations for breast nodules

1. Patients with breast nodules should eat more vegetables and fruits rich in fiber, such as pumpkin, winter melon, eggplant, orange, etc. These foods can reduce the burden on the stomach, prolong the grinding time of the digestive tract, reduce fat absorption, lower hormones, and help repair breast nodules.

2. Avoid spicy condiments or foods, such as ginger, garlic, chili, leek, pepper, fried foods, animal fats, sweets and excessive tonic foods.

3. Patients with breast nodules should eat more nutritious foods. Highly nutritious food can improve patients' resistance and enhance absorption. Highly nutritious foods include asparagus, carrots, kiwi fruit, ginseng fruit, etc.

4. Patients with breast nodules should reduce fat absorption and control estrogen production. In addition to eating more fruits and vegetables, it is recommended to eat foods that replenish qi, such as oysters and kelp.

5. Patients with breast nodules should avoid foods such as coffee, cocoa, and chocolate. This type of food contains a lot of xanthine, which can cause breast nodules. Therefore, women should eat less of this type of food.
