Reasons for slow embryo development

Reasons for slow embryo development

The creation of life is a delicate and complex process, and no mistake can be made at any stage. In order to monitor the entire process, regular prenatal examinations can be conducted to determine the health of the developing fetus. Even if the fetal bud grows slowly, it can be detected through prenatal examination. So what should we do if we find that the fetal bud and fetal heart rate seem slow?

What should I do if the fetal heart rate seems slow?

For normal intrauterine pregnancy, B-ultrasound examination is usually performed in the sixth to seventh week of pregnancy, at which time the fetal bud, fetal heart and fetal heartbeat can be seen in the uterine cavity. If there is still no embryonic bud, fetal heartbeat or fetal heartbeat after more than seven weeks of pregnancy, the expectant mother should consider the possibility of termination of growth and development of the test tube embryo and should go to the hospital immediately to check the health of the fetus.

Due to the growth and development of the test tube embryo, a gestational sac will be produced between 30 and 40 days of pregnancy, a fetal bud and fetal heartbeat will be produced between 40 and 50 days of pregnancy, and a fetal heartbeat will be produced between 50 and 60 days of pregnancy.

During the 40th day of gestation, an ultrasound scan can reveal a fetal bud about 1 cm in size and shaped like a small seahorse. If no fetal bud or fetal heartbeat is found during the examination, the expectant mother must pay close attention.

However, there are also cases where some women with irregular menstrual cycles, late ovulation, or late embryo implantation have fetal buds and fetal heartbeats in their uterine cavity, and the duration of the fetal heartbeat will be delayed. It is recommended to observe for about seven days and then go to the hospital for a follow-up visit.

What is the reason why the fetal heart rate seems slow?

The growth and development of the fetus in the uterus follows a certain procedure. It is mainly related to genetic factors, but it will also be affected by external factors, causing changes in the "program", leading to deformities, miscarriage, premature birth, fetal language delay, low birth weight and other adverse effects. To diagnose intrauterine language delay in the fetus, it is necessary to first determine whether the calculation of the gestational age is accurate. Because many women have irregular menstruation, and even for those with regular menstruation, the ovulation period can vary by two or three days. Therefore, if the gestational age is calculated incorrectly, and the standards for larger fetuses are used to measure a fetus with a smaller gestational age, the fetus will naturally be considered to have language delay.

Imagine that from the combination of a tiny sperm and egg, after a long period of disintegration and development, it gradually becomes a perfect test tube embryo. Any flaw in any detail in this process will lead to the failure of creating life. Therefore, even if it is a small detail like slow fetal bud growth, don't be lucky. You must find out the cause of the slow growth from the source and then face it calmly.
