How do you know if you ovulated?

Women not only have menstruation but also ovulation period every month, but most women do not know when their ovulation period is, so they don’t even know it. Do you know how to judge whether you have ovulation period? Do you know what are the symptoms of ovulation? If you don’t know, then let’s learn about ovulation knowledge together. If you are interested, come and learn it quickly.

How to determine your ovulation period

How to detect whether there is ovulation? In addition to using ovulation test strips or going to the hospital for ovulation monitoring, there are also the following two basic methods:

Method 1: Accurately measure body temperature during ovulation

A very simple and effective method is to accurately measure the body temperature during ovulation. You can measure the body temperature after waking up in the morning without getting up or doing any activities.

If the body temperature measured 2 weeks before menstruation is more than 0.3 degrees Celsius higher than other times, it indicates ovulation. Very few people feel bloating or mild pain in their lower abdomen when their body temperature rises from a low level, and their female secretions increase. The secretions are transparent or contain a little blood. This day is the ovulation period, but most people do not have this feeling.

It is a simple method that patients can control themselves. Many people report that using other more accurate methods to determine ovulation during the single-phase electrical ovulation temperature period accounts for 10%-20%. On the other hand, biphasic ovulation body temperature, confirmed by laparoscopy or B-ultrasound that ovulation is indeed not, is common in women with luteinized ovum uncleaved syndrome, which accounts for more than 6% of infertile women.

Method 2: Menstrual date calculation method.

It is believed that each ovulation period should be about 14 days before the menarche, so the 5 days before ovulation - 5 days after ovulation is called the "ovulation period". However, this method is not very reliable because most women's menstruation is not so regular. In comparison, the first two methods are more reliable, but they are somewhat inconvenient. Here is a simple and reliable calculation method:

The first day of ovulation = the shortest menstrual cycle minus 18 days

The last day of ovulation = the number of days in the most menstrual cycle minus 11 days
