The harm of lifting heavy objects during menstruation

Many women know that there are many taboos to follow during menstruation. Many people do not understand why they cannot exercise too much, and therefore do not understand the serious consequences of excessive exercise causing harm. There is a reason why you cannot exercise excessively during menstruation, because it can cause endometriosis. Let's discuss the harm of lifting objects during menstruation.

Injuries caused by lifting objects during menstruation:

Affects all normal physiological periods. From a physiological mechanism perspective, intense exercise inhibits the function of the hypothalamus and pituitary gland, leading to endocrine dysfunction, which in turn affects the formation and cycle of normal menstruation. Therefore, excessive exercise should be avoided during menstruation, especially in highly competitive events. Not only are you under the pressure of high-intensity exercise, but high-ratio stress and anxiety can also cause endocrine and nervous system disorders and menstrual disorders.

Causes uterine prolapse. The key to preventing uterine prolapse caused by excessive exercise during menstruation is to be alert to high-intensity weight-bearing strength training. In particular, overloaded lifting exercises can increase abdominal pressure, causing temporary contraction of the uterus. If overloaded exercises are performed for a long time, uterine prolapse will occur. Therefore, it is not suitable to carry out energy exercises such as plank support and barbell to increase abdominal pressure, nor is it suitable to participate in sports such as long jump, high jump, sprint and football.

Causes ovarian rupture. Vigorous activities during menstruation, lifting objects, abdominal squeezing and impact, etc. may cause ovarian rupture, leading to lower abdominal pain and even spreading to the entire abdomen.

Causes ovarian cysts. If women exercise excessively during their menstrual period, it may cause menstruation to flow back from the uterus into the pelvis. The uterine wall debris flowing in with the menstruation may be implanted on the uterus and ovaries, causing cysts.

The above are some of the adverse effects of excessive exercise during menstruation. If you experience abnormal menstrual pain, be sure to see a doctor for a check-up. Don't just think about enduring it. Although you should not exercise too much during menstruation, it is beneficial to do moderate exercise with a small amount of exercise. It can also promote blood circulation and reduce hematoma.
