What causes vaginal itching?

Nowadays, many women suffer from different gynecological diseases, but Chinese women are more shy and usually don't want to see a doctor. However, when the disease gets worse, it sometimes affects the normal life and work. Vaginal itching is more common. Once this happens, it must be discovered and treated in time to avoid various complications. So what is the cause of vaginal itching? How to prevent it?

What causes private itching?

1. Fungal vulvitis and vaginitis

Common symptoms include itching of the vulva, itching and burning sensation at the vaginal opening, redness and edema of the private skin; in severe cases, blisters, papules, pustules or eczema-like erosions may occur, and even ulcers and vulvar pain may occur.

2. Toxoplasmosis

Typical manifestations include itching of the private parts and genitals, itching of the vaginal opening, foam-like discharge, often accompanied by a peculiar odor, and eczematous changes of the vulvar dermatitis after scratching. Acid-fast staining of female secretions can be used to distinguish it from other diseases.

3. Other factors

Such as local skin uncleanliness, drug allergies, sexual life allergies, etc., all of which can cause varying degrees of vulvar itching; in addition, there are also mental and dietary factors that cause private skin dryness, flaking, and itching.

Part of the reason

(1) Unique infection

Vaginal candidiasis and vaginitis candidal are the most common causes of vulvar itching. Fleas and scabies can also cause itching. The itching of the anus and private parts of women caused by pinworm infection usually only occurs at night.

(2) Chronic vaginal malnutrition

The clinical symptom is itching, accompanied by whitening of the private skin.

(3) Drug allergy or organic chemical irritation

Soap, condoms, chlorpromazine, mercurochrome, etc. can cause contact dermatitis due to immediate irritation or skin allergies, resulting in itchy symptoms. Women with allergic constitutions take drugs that cause "fixed drug eruption", which often occurs at the junction of the vulvar skin and mucosa. In addition to local itching, it may also be complicated by erosion and exudation. The use of therapeutic drugs for vaginal washing or vaginal insertion in women can also cause vulvar itching if allergic symptoms and contact dermatitis occur.
