What are the symptoms when menstruation is coming?

I believe that many female friends have some symptoms before their periods. Some friends are emotionally unstable and easily anxious every time they have their period. Some friends will infer that their period is about to come based on secretions or changes in breasts. Next, let’s look at the symptoms before menstruation.

1. Many healthy women also have some uncomfortable feelings and personality changes, and they know that their menstruation is coming soon, such as pelvic drop feeling, back pain, headache, breast swelling, edema, irritability, irritability, etc., which is called premenstrual discomfort. It is generally mild and does not require medical treatment. However, some women have severe premenstrual symptoms that affect their work, life, and lifestyle, which is called early menstrual syndrome.

2. Premenstrual syndrome usually appears 7 to 14 days before menarche, is at its peak 2 to 3 days before menstruation, and disappears or is significantly relieved after menstruation. Discomfort is present in all aspects and varies from person to person. Some women have very obvious edema, some have more pronounced breast pain, and some mainly have psychiatric symptoms. Sometimes, several types of symptoms coexist, so the levels vary.

3. Edema usually occurs one week before menstruation. It may also occur at other times and worsen before menstruation. Because of edema, weight gain. Symptoms associated with edema include headache, runny nose, heaviness in the lower limbs, abdominal distension, constipation, etc. Breast pain can occur before or after menstruation. There are small nodules in the breasts, which are painful to touch. They feel better after menstruation, but the pain returns before the next menstruation.

4. The main symptoms before menstruation are: there are obvious changes in secretions before the menstrual period, and the most obvious symptom is excessive leucorrhea. Before menstruation, the pelvic cavity is congested, the blood volume in the cervix and vagina increases, and therefore the secretions produced are more than usual.

5. When menstruation is approaching, the discharge may be a little light pink, and then slowly turn into blood, which is the menstrual period. After the menstrual period is over, the blood volume in the uterus and vagina returns to normal and the secretions also decrease. In this case, leucorrhea is mostly normal because it is caused by the influence of estrogen. There are also other situations where excessive vaginal discharge is normal, such as before intercourse or during pregnancy.

All in all, in fact, everyone's physique is different, and the symptoms before menstruation will be different. As long as you are good at summarizing some of your own changes, you can easily estimate when your period will come.
