What causes vulva itching?

Various gynecological diseases often make us suffer. Due to physiological reasons, we are easily attacked by some gynecological diseases, among which vulvar itching is one of them. Therefore, we must be careful to care for and maintain it in our daily lives. So what are the causes of vulvar itching?

Vulvar itching is often caused by:

More leucorrhea

The most common reason is excessive leucorrhea, especially vaginitis caused by Trichomonas or fungal infection. The large amount of abnormal vaginal secretions discharged can irritate the vulva and cause itching of the private parts.

Clean private parts with disinfectant

If you use disinfectant to clean the private parts and vagina, or place some therapeutic drugs (such as sulfonamides, furacillin, chlorhexidine suppositories, etc.) in the female vagina, it may cause vulvar skin allergies or dermatitis, which may also cause vulvar itching.

Poor living habits

Not paying attention to the cleaning of the private parts, sebaceous glands , sweat, menstruation, vaginal secretions, and even urine and feces, long-term irritation of the private parts can cause itching: using erasers or plastic menstrual belts during menstruation, and usually wearing synthetic fiber underwear with poor breathability.

Unclear cause of vulvar itching

Some patients have very severe vulvar itching, but no obvious systemic or local causes can be found. At present, many people believe that it may be related to mental or psychological factors.

My husband's foot

Athlete's foot is a concentration of bacteria that can infect anything it comes into contact with, including cotton socks, bath towels, sheets and mattresses. In a family where there is athlete's foot, the wife is much more likely to suffer from candidal vaginitis. To prevent fungal vaginitis, you need to take the initiative to treat athlete's foot.

Drug allergy

Women with allergic constitutions who take sulfonamides or other therapeutic drugs may develop "fixed drug eruptions", which often occur at the junction of the vulvar skin and mucosa. In addition to local itching, they may also be complicated by erosion and exudation. If allergic symptoms and contact dermatitis occur when using therapeutic drugs for vaginal washing or vaginal insertion, vulvar itching may also occur.
