Clean private parts with disinfectant

If you use disinfectant to clean the private parts and vagina, or place some therapeutic drugs (such as sulfonamides, furacillin, chlorhexidine suppositories, etc.) in the female vagina, it may cause vulvar skin allergies or dermatitis, which may also cause vulvar itching.

Poor living habits

Not paying attention to the cleaning of the private parts, sebaceous glands , sweat, menstruation, vaginal secretions, and even urine and feces, long-term irritation of the private parts can cause itching: using erasers or plastic menstrual belts during menstruation, and usually wearing synthetic fiber underwear with poor breathability.

Unclear cause of vulvar itching

Some patients have very severe vulvar itching, but no obvious systemic or local causes can be found. At present, many people believe that it may be related to mental or psychological factors.

Drug allergy

Women with allergic constitutions who take sulfonamides or other therapeutic drugs may develop "fixed drug eruptions", which often occur at the junction of the vulvar skin and mucosa. In addition to local itching, they may also be complicated by erosion and exudation. If allergic symptoms and contact dermatitis occur when using therapeutic drugs for vaginal washing or vaginal insertion, vulvar itching may also occur.
