Leucorrhea before menstruation

Leucorrhea before menstruation

Normal leucorrhea is milky white or colorless and transparent. There are mainly two types of changes in secretions before menstruation: excessive leucorrhea before menstruation and bloody leucorrhea before menstruation. Before their period, many healthy women will also experience some uncomfortable feelings and personality changes, such as pelvic drop, back pain, headache, breast swelling, edema, irritability, and anger, which is called premenstrual discomfort. It is generally mild and does not require medical treatment. Generally speaking, there are the following symptoms before menstruation:

1. Mainly characterized by psychiatric symptoms: general nervousness, irritability, general fatigue, sometimes headaches, insomnia, lack of concentration, etc.

2. Mainly physical symptoms: common edema of hands, feet and face, flatulence, some women feel bloating, most women experience constipation, lower abdominal pain and breast pain, etc.

Some women often have a lot of vaginal secretions when their period is about to come, which makes people feel very uncomfortable and even suspect whether they have psychological distortion.

In fact, it is normal to have a lot of vaginal discharge in the early stage of menstruation, and there is no need to worry too much. This often happens because when menstruation is approaching, the pelvic congestion increases, and the blood volume in the cervix and vagina is more than usual, so the secretions in the vagina will naturally increase. Before your period comes, the pelvic cavity is congested, the blood volume in the cervix and vagina increases, and therefore more secretions are produced than usual.

In addition, some women also experience increased secretions during ovulation or after fatigue between two menstrual cycles. This kind of leucorrhea related to menstruation is also a normal physiological phenomenon. When there is a lot of leucorrhea, the vulva should be washed with warm water every day to maintain vaginal cleanliness and avoid inflammation. If there is still a lot of discharge after menstruation, or it becomes more and more pus-like and has an odor, then it is abnormal and you should go to the hospital for a gynecological examination and treatment in time.
