Pain when pressing the bone between the breasts

Pain when pressing the bone between the breasts

For all organisms, if there is abnormality or pain in a certain part of the human body, or various uncomfortable symptoms, it means that our body has. There are some symptoms that cause it, so we must prevent them in advance, so we must pay attention to our health. So what is the reason for pain when you press lightly on the bone in the middle of the chest?

Costochondritis

The first thing to consider is costochondritis, also known as anterior sternal syndrome, which is a common cause of anterior chest pain. Because the pain is located in the chest, it is easy to be confused with angina pectoris, and patients often mistakenly believe that they have coronary heart disease.

Cause of disease: It is generally related to trauma. When people transport hanging objects, they suffer from severe twisting or chest compression, which may cause acute damage to the costochondral cartilage; or they may suffer from viral infection caused by chronic muscle strain or cold, which may lead to edema and thickening of the costochondral cartilage and cause aseptic inflammatory reaction.

Symptoms: The clinical symptoms are anterior chest pain, mostly soreness and pain, with severe or slow onset, sometimes mild and sometimes severe, which may be aggravated by turning over, coughing, deep breathing, and upper limb activities, and sometimes radiate to the upper limbs. There is tenderness over the 2-5 costal cartilages. If not treated promptly and completely, there is a tendency for the disease to recur.

Basic theory of traditional Chinese medicine: Traditional Chinese medicine believes that the pain of costochondritis radiates to the chest, flanks, and arms due to qi stagnation and blood stasis; local protrusion, obvious pressure pain, and constant pain are due to blood stasis. Qi deficiency and blood stasis, wind-cold and wind-heat invade the meridians, toxic heat and blood are blocked, blood and Qi are blocked, and pain occurs.

pleurisy

Cause of disease: Pleurisy refers to inflammation of the pleura caused by pleural thickening stimulated by pathogenic factors (usually viral infection or bacteria), also known as "pleurisy". There may be accumulation of fluid in the chest cavity (exudative pleurisy) or no accumulation of fluid (dry pleurisy). After the inflammation is controlled, the pleural thickening can return to normal, or double layers of pleural thickening may form and adhere to each other.

Symptoms: The specific clinical medical manifestations are chest pain, cough, chest tightness, shortness of breath, and even difficulty breathing.

Chest pain is the most common symptom of pleurisy

Chest pain is the most common symptom of pleurisy. It often occurs suddenly, and the degree varies greatly. It can be an unclear discomfort or severe tingling, or it may only occur when the patient breathes deeply or coughs, or it may persist and be aggravated by breathing deeply or coughing.

It may also present primarily as referred pain in the abdomen, neck, or shoulders. Deep breathing can cause pain, resulting in shallow and rapid breathing, and the muscle movement of the affected limb is weaker than that of the contralateral side.
