Beef contains high protein and is lean meat. During menstruation, due to excessive blood loss, eating more meat is undoubtedly beneficial from the perspective of traditional Chinese medicine. Beef is a tonic food. Especially during menstruation, you should avoid getting cold. If the body is too cold, the cold will stagnate, which will cause blood circulation problems and a decrease in menstrual volume. So can you eat mutton safely during your menstrual period? There is a certain type of people who are not suitable to eat it.

Disadvantages of eating mutton for women:

1. Can you eat beef during your menstrual period?

Generally speaking, women can eat mutton appropriately during their normal menstrual period. Moreover, beef is nourishing and contains protein. It is lean meat. During menstrual period, due to excessive blood loss, eating mutton is beneficial.

2. If your blood is too heavy during menstruation, it is best not to eat beef

Women who have heavy blood during menstruation should not eat it. After all, beef is a hot food. Eating too much beef can easily lead to excessive internal heat, damage the yin and cause bleeding. Therefore, people with heavy menstrual flow may have prolonged menstruation and increased menstrual flow after eating it.

3. People with short menstrual periods and small menstrual volumes should eat mutton

On the contrary, eating mutton is beneficial for people with short menstrual periods and small menstrual volumes. For example, if the body is too cold, the cold stagnation causes blood circulation problems, and people with reduced menstrual flow, eating mutton is very good.

Beef has a therapeutic and spleen-warming effect on patients with irregular menstruation caused by abdominal cold pain, fear of cold due to deficiency of qi and blood, sore waist and weak legs, dark yellow complexion, and deficiency of qi and blood. It is suitable for consumption during the winter solstice for health preservation. But don't eat too much, otherwise you'll get angry easily.

Normal standard of menstrual blood volume: The normal menstrual blood volume is 20-120ml, mostly 50ml, with the highest volume on the second or third day of menarche, and then gradually decreases.

Generally, it is normal to change sanitary napkins or paper 3 to 5 times a day (a wet napkin is about 10ml). If the menstrual flow is heavy, it will become wet again soon after changing the sanitary napkin or paper, or even flow down the legs, which is not normal. Also, if the menstrual flow is thin and watery, with only a little light pink or turning black or purple, it is also abnormal. If the menstrual blood is completely clotted, it is also abnormal.
