Can I have sex if I am less than one month pregnant?

Can you have sex when you are pregnant? This is a question that many expectant parents want to know. They are worried that if they are not careful, it will immediately harm the safety of the mother and the baby. Some people think that having sex when pregnant can easily cause miscarriage or internal bleeding. Therefore, they should not have sex once they find out they are pregnant. Many people also think that it is okay to have sex moderately at certain stages of pregnancy, but you should pay attention to whether you can have sex during the pregnancy.

Can I have sex when I am just one month pregnant?

I couldn't have sex just one month into my pregnancy. Because the early pregnancy, that is, the first three months of pregnancy, is the stage of embryo development, the embryo has not been fully formed, the uterus is relatively sensitive, and the pregnancy is in an unstable state. During this time, the immediate mechanical stimulation can induce uterine contractions, while the reflex stimulation can cause the release of prostaglandins through neurovascular regulation, increasing its concentration in the blood. In addition, the uterine fluid is also rich in prostaglandins, which have the effect of contracting the uterus and can easily cause miscarriage, especially for wives with a history of repeated miscarriage. Therefore, sexual intercourse is strictly prohibited during the first three months of pregnancy.

By the 4th to 7th month of pregnancy, the embryo has grown and developed fully, the functions are complete, the fetus has grown and formed, the sensitivity of the uterus has decreased, and the fetus is in a relatively stable state in the uterus. At this time, if the pregnant woman is in good physical and mental health, she can have sex. However, sexual intercourse should be controlled and not frequent, once a week is appropriate. The sexual position should be chosen to avoid pressure on the pregnant woman's abdomen.

Three months after pregnancy, especially one month before delivery, the fetus is close to full-term and is in the preparation stage for delivery. The cervix tends to be perfect, shortened and loosened, the uterine opening gradually opens, and the sensitivity of the uterus is significantly improved. Having sex during this period is very dangerous. In addition to causing premature birth, placental abruption, and even early fetal separation, it can also bring bacteria into the vagina and uterine cavity, causing serious infection during or after delivery. Therefore, sexual intercourse should be strictly prohibited during the late stages of pregnancy.
