Can I use a belly belt after a caesarean section?

Mothers experience a process in which their abdomens gradually expand during pregnancy. During this process, not only their stomachs are swollen, but their pelvises are also expanded. Even after giving birth, it cannot be restored immediately, so the body shape is not as good as before, and the clothes and appearance may not be as beautiful as before. If you wait for the body to recover to its previous state, it will take a long time, so many mothers will rely on restraints to recover their body shape, which can speed up the recovery process.

However, many mothers feel that no matter which delivery method they choose, the body will be relatively weak after delivery, and there will be wounds, and it will take a while to recover before using a belt. So how long does it take before you can start using a belt? In fact, many mothers use it too late; in addition, the delivery methods are different, and the time of initial application is also different. Only when mothers use it correctly can the product heal quickly.

1. Choose to apply it three days after normal delivery

If mothers give birth to their babies through natural delivery and their bodies recover well after giving birth without any major problems, they can start using the belt three days after giving birth. Because within three days after giving birth, mothers' lochia is still in the discharge stage. If a restraint belt is used, it will directly affect the discharge of lochia. Some mothers may still have wounds from episiotomy during delivery. The wounds are quite painful at this time, and using a binding belt will immediately increase the pain of the wound. Therefore, mothers who have had episiotomy are advised to use binding belts one week after delivery. Mothers don't have to stay in bed all the time after giving birth. They should also do some simple exercises from time to time. Doing so will not only help the body recover, but also help the body to expel postpartum lochia faster.

2. It can be used on the same day after cesarean section

Mothers who have given birth to their babies through cesarean section may think that they should not use the bandage until their wounds have healed, but this is not the case. Mothers who have undergone cesarean section can start using a belt on the day after the operation if the operation goes smoothly and there are no side effects after the operation. And using a bandage on the day after surgery can also relieve the pain caused by the wound, but mothers should also be careful not to tighten the bandage too much, and do not wear it for too long every day, otherwise it may cause blood circulation in the body, not to mention physical discomfort, and the wound recovery will also be affected.

After holding back for the entire pregnancy period and finally giving birth, mothers will undoubtedly want to wear beautiful clothes, but they should not be too impatient. Some mothers whose physical recovery is not very good should not use the belt too early. It is best to wait for about a week after delivery before using it. After all, the recovery of the body is still the first priority.
