Symptoms of female hysteria

Symptoms of female hysteria

Hysteria, also known as dissociative disorder, is a mental illness caused by the effect of mental factors on the infected individual. Some patients mainly show dissociative symptoms, while others mainly show various forms of physical symptoms. Their symptoms and clinical features are inconsistent with the physiological and anatomical characteristics of the central nervous system, and lack the pathological basis of corresponding organic damage. This symptom is considered to be a representative change of psychological conflicts and desires that the patient cannot resolve.

(1) Dissociative amnesia is characterized by the sudden inability to recall important events, characterized by the loss of recent memory, which can be partial and selective, and usually revolves around traumatic events. This type of forgetfulness is not caused by organic reasons and cannot be explained by general memory loss or fatigue.

(2) Dissociative wandering refers to the patient suddenly leaving home or workplace while awake, usually leaving an intolerable environment, and wandering without plan or purpose. At this time, the patient's awareness scope becomes smaller, but he can carry out daily basic life and simple social media contact. Some patients forget their past experiences and emerge with a new identity. Data roaming can last from tens of minutes to several days, and sometimes even longer. This type of illness occurs suddenly, and after waking up, the patient cannot fully recall the experience during the illness.

(3) The behavior of the person with dissociative catatonia meets the criteria for catatonia, and examination reveals no evidence of physical illness. Generally, after a certain food, clothing, living or transportation event, the patient maintains a fixed posture for a very long time without moving, has almost no or no response to external stimuli, has almost no language and spontaneous purposeful movement. However, the patient's muscle strength and breathing movements exist, and sometimes there are coordinated movements of opening and closing the eyes and eyeballs.
