What are the symptoms if the fetus stops developing?

Fetal arrest means that the fetus suddenly stops developing during pregnancy. Fetal growth retardation is a tragic event for any family. There are many reasons for fetal growth retardation, which may be due to the pregnant woman suffering from certain diseases. Pregnant women took some medicines during pregnancy, which caused the fetus to stop growing. Next, let’s take a look at the symptoms of fetal growth retardation.

If the embryo stops developing, all pregnancy reactions of the pregnant mother will gradually disappear. First of all, you will no longer have nausea, vomiting and other early pregnancy reactions, and the feeling of breast swelling will also gradually weaken. This is followed by vaginal bleeding, often with dark red bloody leucorrhea. Eventually, you may experience lower abdominal distension and pain, and the test tube embryo may be expelled. The above symptoms vary from person to person. Some people may not even have any symptoms, but may experience abdominal pain immediately, followed by miscarriage, or the embryo may stop developing and then have no symptoms and be discovered through basic B-ultrasound examination. Most pregnant women have no obvious symptoms after the fetus stops developing. Some pregnant women may have spotting, but generally have no abdominal pain, which is different from threatened abortion.

Patients with a history of amenorrhea should undergo ultrasound examination in the early stages of pregnancy, regardless of whether they have spotting or not, to prevent misdiagnosis of embryonic arrest. B-ultrasound examination can detect the test tube embryo and the baby's development. If there is no gestational sac at ≥6 weeks, or there is a gestational sac but it is deformed and wrinkled, when the gestational sac is ≥4cm but the fetal bud and fetal heart are not visible, and the head-arm length of the fetal bud and fetal heart is ≥1.5cm but there is no fetal heart beat, it can be judged that there is something wrong with the development of the test tube embryo or the baby. The latter three conditions can be diagnosed as embryonic arrest. In addition, blood β-hcG measurement is also helpful in confirming the cessation of embryonic development. If ≥ 5 weeks, blood β-hCG
