Are the first seven days and the last eight days of menstruation the safe period?

Are the first seven days and the last eight days of menstruation the safe period?

To put it simply, the safe period is a concept relative to the ovulation period. The ovulation period is the stage when a woman's egg is discharged from the ovary, and it is the stage when the chance of pregnancy is highest. Conversely, the safe period is the time when the chance of pregnancy is lowest in a woman's menstrual cycle. Many women think that having sex during this stage can avoid the possibility of pregnancy, but this is not an absolutely safe measure. So, are the seven days before and eight days after menstruation the dangerous period?

Are the seven days before and eight days after menstruation the dangerous period?

The method of calculating the menstrual cycle is to use the first day of menarche to the first day of the next menarche. Generally speaking, the longest menstrual cycle of a woman is 30 days, and the shortest is 28 days. If we substitute this into the public test, the first day of a woman's ovulation should be calculated like this, that is, 28 days - 18 days = 10 days, and the last day of ovulation is 30-11 = 19 days. In other words, under normal circumstances, the ovulation period of a woman's menstrual period is the 10th day after the menarche, and then to the 19th day before the next menarche. In short, a woman's ovulation period is about 14 days after the menarche.

At the same time, we know that women's eggs will wait for sperm in the fallopian tubes for one or two days, and men's sperm will also remain active in the woman's reproductive system for two or three days. So the real ovulation period of women should be said to be in the first five days and the last four days of the 14 days before the menarche. If you add it up, the woman's ovulation period is 10 days, and the ovulation period is the stage when it is easy to get pregnant.

Because the life span of progesterone for most people is 14 days, so the simple idea is that the ovulation period is the first day before the menstrual period. Generally, 14 days forward is the ovulation period, and excluding the ovulation period and menstrual period, the rest is the safety period. If women's ovulation period is the main factor, then women's safe period can be divided into the safe period before ovulation and the safe period after ovulation. From the day when a woman's menstruation ends to the day before ovulation is called the safe period before ovulation, and from the end of ovulation to the next menstrual period is called the late ovulation safe period. The folk custom also uses the method of "seven before and eight after" to calculate women's safe period.
