Why is my cervix always bleeding?

It is inevitable for women to suffer from various gynecological diseases. Cervical bleeding is one of them. If this symptom is not treated in time, it will have a great impact on the patient's life. So, what is the cause of cervical bleeding? Let's see what the experts say.

The causes of cervical bleeding are as follows:

1. Cervical erosion

Because cervical inflammation is the period of more purulent secretions, which soak the epithelial cells of the external cervical opening, causing them to lose vitality and cause shedding and ulceration, which is the granular, shiny red area around the external cervical opening that is often seen in clinical percussion - cervical erosion.

2. Cervical eversion

The cervix may be torn during childbirth, induced abortion, or miscarriage. If not repaired promptly by surgery, the scar tissue muscles will atrophy and cause the cervical opening to evert. If the combined infection produces chronic cervicitis, the vaginal discharge will be purulent and there will be contact bleeding.

3. Cervical polyps

Inflammation is a factor in the development of polyps. Polyps from the uterine canal mucosa are soft, red, and sensitive. They bleed when pressed lightly and can be detected during a gynecological examination. Large polyps can cause excessive vaginal discharge, bloody vaginal discharge or contact bleeding, especially bleeding after sexual intercourse or defecation, which is similar to early cervical cancer.

4. Leukoplakia of the cervix

Cervical leukoplakia is a milky white, opaque, macular degeneration that appears inside the cervix and vagina. The cause of the disease is not very clear yet, it may be related to endocrine imbalance, chronic irritation of cervical inflammation, and the influence of vaginal fungi. In recent years, it has been found that the occurrence of cervical leukoplakia may be related to the carcinogenic factors of cervical cancer. Simple leukoplakia of the uterus usually has no obvious symptoms. If it is combined with cervical erosion or endometrial ectropion, there will be more leucorrhea, or occasionally pink vaginal discharge and contact bleeding.

5. Cervical cancer

Cervical cancer is one of the most common cancer tumors in the body. Contact bleeding may be one of the early symptoms of cervical cancer. It usually occurs after intercourse or during vaginal examination. Vaginal bleeding is very irregular, usually a little at first and then more, or more at a younger age. However, some patients bleed a lot at the first contact, which is often caused by arterial rupture. Sometimes vaginal bleeding can also occur after straining to have a bowel movement.
