How many days is menstruation usually delayed?

Girls have menstruation every month, and the menstrual cycle of women is about 28-30 days. In life, many women experience delayed or early menstruation due to various reasons. This is normal. It may be due to the influence of some pathological factors, so it should be taken seriously. In addition to pathological factors, there are also some physiological reasons. So how many days is normal for women's menstruation to be delayed?

1. If the menstruation is delayed within 3 days from the original basis, it is normal. If it exceeds 5 days, it is abnormal. Under normal circumstances, the menstrual cycle is once every 28-30 days. If it is delayed for more than 5 days, if you have a normal sexual life, you may be pregnant, so you should use morning urine to do an early pregnancy test. Most cases of delayed menstruation are caused by endocrine abnormalities, such as mood changes, staying up late or excessive mental stress, environmental changes, sudden cold stimulation, and drinking too many frozen drinks, all of which may cause delayed menstruation. Therefore, it is normal for menstruation to be delayed within 3 days. If it exceeds 3 days, clinical examinations should be conducted and treatment should be given according to the cause.

2. It is normal for menstruation to be delayed by no more than seven days. Because menstruation is affected by external factors such as emotions, environment, diet, illness, medicine, and stress, it may be advanced or delayed by a few days. As long as the difference between the two periods does not exceed one week, it is normal. Therefore, the timing of menstruation will fluctuate slightly. However, if menstruation is delayed for too long, it is an abnormal phenomenon. If it is caused by a disease, auxiliary examinations such as ultrasound and gynecological examination are needed to determine the cause, and regular living and eating habits need to be maintained.

3. If you have regular menstrual cycles and a history of sexual life, if your period lasts more than ten days, you should consider the possibility of pregnancy. An ultrasound examination is recommended. Only when a gestational sac is found in the uterine cavity under ultrasound can it be diagnosed as an intrauterine pregnancy. About ten days after sexual intercourse, the body's hCG secretion will increase. At this time, if a blood hCG test is performed, pregnancy can be diagnosed, and the level can double every other day. In addition, hcg can be excreted from the body through urine fourteen days after intercourse. At this time, pregnancy can be detected through early pregnancy test strips. Since the conception period is relatively short, it is recommended to use morning urine.
