Can gynecological diseases cause back pain?

Can gynecological diseases cause back pain?

Both men and women are prone to back pain. There are many reasons for low back pain. In men, it may be caused by kidney disease or lumbar spondylosis, but in women, the causes of low back pain are more complicated. Because the female reproductive system is closely related to the waist, some women find that they often have waist pain after suffering from gynecological diseases. So can gynecological diseases cause waist pain?

Low back pain is a very common phenomenon, which may occur after excessive fatigue or illness. If the back pain is just occasional due to overwork, you might as well put down what you are doing and take a short break. If you are not overworked and still have frequent back pain, you should go to the hospital for medical treatment in time. See what the reasons are.

The most common low back pain caused by gynecological problems is temporary back pain during menstruation, which will improve significantly after the menstruation. If the lower back pain persists for a long time and is not during the menstrual period, after excluding the possibility of lumbar disease, then you should consider whether it is caused by gynecological inflammation. What gynecological diseases does the problem of back pain indicate?

1. It may be pelvic inflammatory disease. Pelvic inflammatory disease is the most common gynecological inflammation, including endometritis, salpingitis, etc. Pelvic inflammatory disease usually occurs during the period of sexual activity, so it rarely occurs in teenage girls and postmenopausal women.

2. It may be uterine fibroids. Many people's faces change drastically when they hear the word "fibroids". In fact, uterine fibroids are the most common benign tumor, common in middle-aged women. The symptoms of uterine fibroids are closely related to the location of the fibroids. It is the disease that is most likely to cause back pain. Once discovered, treatment should be given promptly, otherwise it may lead to chronic pelvic pain, thus delaying the disease.

3. It may be cervical cancer. Cervical cancer is a common gynecological malignancy, and its initial symptoms are vaginal bleeding, irregular vaginal bleeding in the late stage, and vaginal discharge, frequent urination, urgency, low back pain and other symptoms. The main cause of low back pain is tumor compression and involvement of the ureter, leading to urinary tract obstruction, which in turn causes low back pain.

4. It may be due to abnormal position of the uterus. The normal position of the uterus should be slightly anteverted. If the uterus is retroflexed or tilted backward, it may be out of alignment with the surrounding area, causing tractional low back pain. This condition often occurs after frequent abortions and giving birth to multiple children.

5. It may be endometriosis. Secondary dysmenorrhea is a typical symptom of endometriosis, and the dysmenorrhea is mainly located in the lower abdomen, lumbar region and middle pelvic cavity. Endometriosis can also cause infertility, menstrual abnormalities and other phenomena.

Therefore, if women experience low back pain, they should not simply assume that it is caused by fatigue and ignore the condition. Instead, they should go to a regular hospital for diagnosis and treatment in time and avoid treatment as soon as possible to prevent the disease from being delayed. If there is no obvious lesion in the waist, you must go to the gynecology department for examination in time to prescribe the right medicine.
