Is vomiting before period a sign of pregnancy?

Every woman has her period every month. Because everyone's physical constitution is different, every woman will have different reactions before and during her period. Some women will experience nausea and vomiting before their period. When this happens, if their period is delayed, many women will wonder if they are pregnant. In fact, there is a difference between the reaction before menstruation and pregnancy.

Is vomiting before period a sign of pregnancy?

Such symptoms certainly do not mean pregnancy. Generally, pregnancy reactions often occur around 6 weeks after amenorrhea, rather than before menstruation is delayed. Symptoms may be caused by other reasons such as stomach problems. If you want to know whether you are pregnant, early pregnancy test strips and blood hcg tests are both good ways.

Experts point out that if dizziness, nausea and vomiting occur during menstruation, it can be considered as a disease caused by premenstrual syndrome. Therefore, female friends do not need to worry too much and can use some medication methods to relieve the symptoms. The phenomenon of "dizziness, nausea and vomiting during menstruation" may also be caused by the tension of female patients. Therefore, female friends should pay attention to relaxing their minds, ensure healthy rest, and not overwork. At the same time, they can use distraction methods to reduce tension.

When this kind of situation occurs, in addition to considering premenstrual syndrome, digestive tract abnormalities should also be considered. Patients can pay more attention to it. If the symptoms subside after the menstrual period, then it can be concluded that it is a physiological reaction of the menstrual period. If the menstrual period is over, but the symptoms have not changed, then digestive tract problems should be considered.

The difference between menstruation and pregnancy

1. Getting tired easily

Pregnancy: It is easy to feel sleepy in the early stages of pregnancy, and often feel like you can’t wake up.

Menstrual period: You may feel sleepy during your menstrual period, but it will usually return to normal within 1-2 days.

2. Increased body temperature

Pregnancy: The body temperature will continue to rise in early pregnancy, generally around 36.5-37.2 degrees, but will slowly return to normal after three months.

Menstrual period: Body temperature will rise by about 0.5 degrees before and after ovulation, and return to normal at the end of menstruation.

3. Breast changes

Pregnancy: Breast tenderness and swelling are normal during pregnancy. At the same time, the areola becomes darker and the nipple becomes larger.

Menstrual period: Before menstruation, there are small lumps in the breasts, a feeling of swelling, and pain when touched. These symptoms will become normal when menstruation comes, but will reappear before the next menstruation.

4. Backache

Pregnancy: There will be no back pain in the early stages of pregnancy. Only in the late stages of pregnancy will the uterus enlarge and the waist's ability to bear weight increase, causing pain.

Menstrual period: Most people will experience varying degrees of back pain during their menstrual period.

5. Guide secretions

Pregnancy: Due to congestion of the vaginal mucosa in early pregnancy, the color of the discharge becomes darker.

Menstrual period: The discharge before your period is lighter in color.

6. Appetite

Pregnancy: In the early stages of pregnancy, pregnant women generally experience pregnancy reactions, vomiting, and loss of appetite, especially in the morning when the symptoms are more severe.

Menstrual period: Appetite increases during the premenstrual period, and some people prefer spicy food.
