How long does it take for the echo-free area to turn into a gestational sac?

During the physical examination, if there is an echo-free area, the chance of it becoming a gestational sac is low. If there is a gestational sac in the body, there should be echo-free areas of menstruation, so the possibility of miscarriage should be considered. The size of the sac will change with different gestational weeks. For example, the size of the sac is 0.2 cm for a fetus at four weeks of pregnancy and 0.4 cm for a fetus at five weeks of pregnancy.

Will the echo-free area become a gestational sac?

The chance of the echo-free area turning into a gestational sac is small. If there is a gestational sac, there should be menstruation in the echo-free area. Consider the possibility of threatened abortion and intrauterine bleeding. If there is no vaginal bleeding, most of it can be absorbed by itself. Rest in bed more and follow the doctor's treatment. Pay attention to observation. Sexual intercourse is prohibited in the first three months of pregnancy to avoid miscarriage.

What is the size of the gestational sac at different gestational weeks?

1. 4 weeks: fetus 0.2 cm. The fertilized egg implants and the amniotic cavity is formed, but its size is still very small. Ultrasound cannot show clear signs of pregnancy.

2.5 weeks: The fetus is 0.4 cm, the amniotic cavity becomes larger, and the cardiovascular system appears and pulsates. B-ultrasound can show a small gestational sac, which occupies less than 1/4 of the uterine cavity, or a fetal bud can be seen.

3.6 weeks: The fetus is 0.85 cm, the fetal nerves, brain alveoli, head, respiratory, facial organs, digestive organs and other organs are differentiated, the fetal sac is clear, and the fetal bud and fetal heartbeat are visible.

4.7 weeks: The fetus is 1.33 cm long and has the rudiments of a human being, with limbs separated and further development. The fetal heartbeat and embryonic bud can be clearly seen, and the gestational sac occupies about 1/3 of the uterine cavity.

5.8 weeks: The fetus is 1.66 cm, the fetal shape has been determined, and the limbs can be distinguished. It can be seen that the gestational sac is half the size of the uterine cavity, the fetus is clearly visible, and the yolk sac is visible.

6.9 weeks: The fetus is 2.15 cm, the fetal head is larger than the fetal body, and the skull begins to develop. The gestational sac almost fills the uterine cavity, its outline becomes clearer, and the placenta appears.

7. 10 weeks: The fetus is already 2.83 cm, and the organs and placenta are gradually formed. The fetal sac begins to disappear, the placenta is visible, and the fetus is in the amniotic fluid.

8. 11 weeks: The fetus is 3.62 cm, all organs are developed, the gestational sac has disappeared, and the placenta is clearly visible.

9. 12 weeks: The fetus is 4.58 cm long and the external genitalia have gradually developed. Any deformities will be visible. The skull is clear and the biparietal diameter can be measured, which can be used to diagnose the trends of various organs.

The echo-free area generally will not turn into a gestational sac. If this happens, you need to go home and go to the hospital for a check-up in a few days. It may be because the pregnancy is still in its early stages and it cannot be detected yet. The gestational sac changes differently at different times, but the size will not differ too much. The size of the gestational sac can also determine the size of the fetus, so the gestational sac is very important and is a developmental standard during pregnancy.
