What are the chances of pregnancy from unprotected sex?

Having sex without a condom can easily lead to the possibility of pregnancy, and the chance of pregnancy also depends on whether the female body is in the ovulation period. The chance of pregnancy during sexual intercourse during the female ovulation period is relatively high, while the chance of pregnancy during the female safe period is not very high. Contraceptive pills can be taken after sexual intercourse.

What are the chances of pregnancy from unprotected sex?

The chance of getting pregnant without a condom depends on when the woman is ovulating. Generally speaking, normal women of childbearing age have menstruation once a month. The day from the beginning of one menstruation to the next menstruation is called a menstrual cycle. If you consider contraception, each menstrual cycle of a woman can be divided into menstrual period, ovulation period and safe period.

A woman's ovulation date is generally about fourteen days before the next menstrual period. After the egg is released from the ovary, it can survive in the fallopian tube for one to two days waiting for fertilization. The sperm can maintain its fertilization ability for two to three days in the female reproductive tract, so it is easy to get pregnant by having sexual intercourse a few days before and after the egg is released.

To be on the safe side, we call the five days before or four days after ovulation, together with the ovulation day, a total of ten days, the ovulation period. Because it is easy to get pregnant during sexual intercourse during the ovulation period, the ovulation period is also called the fertile period or the dangerous period. If you have sexual intercourse without a condom during the ovulation period or the dangerous period, the chance of pregnancy is very high, and can even reach more than 50 to 60 percent.

If you are in the safe period, which is seven days before menstruation to eight days after menstruation, the chance of pregnancy is relatively small if you do not wear a condom during this period.

What is the chance of pregnancy without ejaculation?

Even if there is no internal ejaculation, the chance of pregnancy will be around 50%, because prostatic fluid will be secreted before ejaculation, and the prostatic fluid will contain a small amount of sperm. If the prostatic fluid containing sperm is leaked into the vagina, it will cause pregnancy. Therefore, if you do not plan to get pregnant, it is recommended to take contraceptive measures. You can use condoms throughout sexual intercourse or take oral contraceptives. Ejaculation outside the body is a very unsafe method of contraception and is therefore not recommended.
