Of course, after the breastfeeding period is over, the child needs to be weaned, and the most important thing about weaning is to stop breastfeeding, otherwise the woman’s breasts will suffer great pain. So, how can you stop breastfeeding quickly after giving birth? Here are some recommended methods for you to stop breastfeeding!

1. Natural weaning method

Quick weaning: If you have made adequate preparations, you and your baby can adapt, the time for weaning is ripe, and you can quickly wean your baby off breast milk. Especially with objective factors, if the mother has to go on a business trip for a period of time, it is very likely that the baby will be completely weaned in a few days. If the mother stops pumping milk after going to work, the daytime milk supply will soon stop.

Gradual weaning: If your baby is very dependent on breast milk, rapid weaning may make the baby uncomfortable. If you attach great importance to breastfeeding and are with your baby every day, you may feel a sense of loss if you wean suddenly. Therefore, you can adopt a gradual weaning method. Gradually reduce the number of breastfeeding times and shorten the feeding time. At the same time, pay attention to taking less soup and milk-producing foods, so that milk secretion gradually decreases and eventually disappears.

2. Artificial weaning method

Foods that can cause milk withdrawal: leeks, malt, raw loquat leaves, scrambled eggs with Chinese toon, squab, day lily, oatmeal, malted milk, raw hawthorn, Sichuan pepper, etc.

1. Take 100 grams of roasted malt, decocted in water and taken once a day.

2. Add 12 grams of pepper to 400 ml of water, boil it into 250 ml, add 30 grams of brown sugar, and drink it, 1 dose per day, for 2 consecutive doses.

3. Take 5 loquat leaves and 10 grams of Achyranthes bidentata, decoct in water and drink it once a day for 3 consecutive days.

4. Sprinkle 50-100 grams of saltpeter on gauze (the amount of gauze depends on the size of the breast), wrap the breast, and change the dressing 1-2 times a day.

5. Boil 24 grams of tangerine peel and 6 grams of licorice in water and drink it several times.

6. 60 grams of wheat bran and 30 grams of brown sugar. First fry the bran until it turns yellow, then add the sugar and fry together. Eat it within 2 days.

7. Take 50g of roasted malt, 10g of plantain seeds and 15g of Rhizoma Cynoglossi, decoct in water and drink as tea.

8. Take 6 grams of safflower, 9 grams of red peony root, 9 grams of angelica, and 9 grams of Cyathula officinalis, decocted in water and taken orally.

9. Take 100g roasted malt and 25g Shenqu, decoct in water and drink warm in two doses.

10. Take 100 grams of Xuanming powder and mix it with honey to form a paste and apply it to both breasts.

3. Notes

Some mothers do not drink soup and blindly adopt the so-called "quick weaning method", or even use a towel to strangle their breasts and seal their nipples with tape. Doing so obviously goes against physiological laws and can easily cause breast pain.

When choosing diet during weaning, you should avoid foods that promote milk secretion, such as peanuts, pig's trotters, crucian carp, soups, etc., and eat less protein-rich foods, which can reduce milk secretion. During the weaning period, you should also pay attention to reducing the water intake in your diet.

Try to avoid using hormone drugs or milk-suppressing injections, as they can easily cause breast atrophy or breast secretion problems.
