White spots on papillary glands

White spots on papillary glands

The nipple is a very important part of a woman's body, especially because of its breastfeeding function. However, women's nipples are also prone to problems. During the breastfeeding period, many parents find white spots on the nipples. There are three main factors that lead to its occurrence. You need to determine the cause based on your own situation so that you can better solve it. Let’s take a look at the causes and solutions of white spots in papillary inflammation.

There are three types of white spots on the nipples:

One is nipple ulcer caused by nipple fissure. Generally, there is no congestion in the breast, but the mother will feel severe nipple pain.

The other is small white bubbles on the nipple, where a transparent membrane blocks the nipple hole, so the milk cannot come out or cannot come out smoothly. There will be congestion in the breast, and the baby will feel pain in the nipple and the nerves in the breast when feeding.

Another type is a fat-like substance formed by dehydrated milk. This situation is more common after milk stasis or mastitis, because the milk is swollen for a long time and the milk is dehydrated. When we are doing milk unblocking, we can see small particles squeezed out of the nipple, sometimes it is a "milk dry strip" of a certain length.

So I suggest mothers:

First, use bottles to feed your baby as little as possible. When your baby starts to suckle after being exposed to the bottle, you must pay attention to the correct suckling posture.

Second, mothers need to learn and master several breastfeeding positions. Although the baby's mouth can cover the mother's areola 360 degrees, the real force is still applied to the baby's chin. By exerting force through the chin, the tongue wraps around the areola to squeeze and stimulate lactation, so the mammary gland where the baby's chin is pointed is the most unobstructed. Therefore, mothers can change different breastfeeding postures to reduce breast engorgement and nipple damage caused by white blisters and white spots (breastfeeding posture diagram attached).

On the one hand, to treat cracked nipples, you need to correct the baby's breastfeeding posture, and on the other hand, you need to protect the nipples. After each breastfeeding, squeeze some milk and rub it on the surface of the nipples. Let it dry naturally before putting on underwear, or you can apply nipple cream. For severe cracked nipples, consider using nipple protection cream or safe topical medications during breastfeeding. This kind of little white spot must not be picked! ! In theory, the small white bubbles on the nipples can be picked out with a needle, and everything will be fine once the milk flows out. However, in reality, this treatment still carries the risk of infection. Secondly, picking out the bubbles is only a temporary solution and will not cure the root cause. Instead, the problem will recur. Moreover, the small white spots will grow deeper and deeper, and if they are not picked out properly, they will bleed, increasing the risk of infection. The best solution is to let the baby suck when his sucking stimulation is the greatest. It may not be enough in one or two sucks, but you should persist for about two days. What the baby eats is a temporary solution to the problem and the disease will not recur easily.
