Breast cancer is mainly divided into four types: non-invasive tumors, early invasive tumors, invasive specific tumors and invasive non-specific tumors. These four types are divided into many types. Everyone should choose the treatment method according to the type of breast cancer, and cancer needs to be controlled in a timely manner, otherwise it will affect the patient's life safety. For the classification of breast cancer, you can refer to the following and take relevant preventive measures. Breast cancer is divided into 4 categories Breast cancer type 1: non-invasive cancer It is the early stage of breast cancer. When the tumor is confined to the mammary ducts or alveoli and has not broken through the basement membrane, it is called non-invasive cancer. 1Intraductal carcinoma The cancer cells are confined to the ducts and have not broken through the basement membrane of the duct wall. It mostly occurs in small and medium-sized ducts, rarely in larger ducts, and is generally distributed in multiple centers. 2Lobular carcinoma in situ Cancer that occurs in the epithelial cells of the lobular duct and terminal duct is more common in premenopausal women, and the age of onset is 5-10 years earlier than that of general breast cancer. The lobules were enlarged, the number of tubes and alveoli increased, they became noticeably thicker, and they were filled with non-polarized cancer cells. Lobular carcinoma in situ develops slowly and has a good prognosis. Breast cancer type 2: early invasive cancer 1 Early invasion of lobular carcinoma The cancer tissue breaks through the basement membrane of the vascular wall and begins to infiltrate into the lobular interstitium, but is still confined to the lobule. 2 Early invasive ductal carcinoma The cancer cells of intraductal carcinoma break through the basement membrane of the duct wall, begin to sprout and infiltrate into the interstitium. Breast cancer type 3: invasive special type carcinoma 1. Papillary carcinoma Occurring from the epithelial cells of the large milk ducts, the cancer substance is mainly composed of papillary structures with or without fibrous vascular bundles. It can be non-invasive or invasive papillary carcinoma. Its infiltration often appears at the base of papillary hyperplasia. 2 Medullary carcinoma with massive lymphocyte infiltration The cut surface often shows necrosis and hemorrhage, and microscopy shows large areas of cancer cells with a large number of lymphocytes and plasma cells infiltrating in the stroma. It is more obvious in the periphery of the cancer and is generally considered to be the body's resistance to the tumor. 3. Tubular carcinoma It occurs in the epithelial cells of the ducts or small ducts and is a less malignant type with a good prognosis. 4Adenoid cystic carcinoma Basal cell-like cells form patches or small stains of varying sizes and shapes, containing circular cavities of varying numbers and relatively uniform sizes. Myoepithelial cells can be seen on the luminal surface and around the cell sheets. 5. Apocrine carcinoma The cancer cells have abundant eosinophilic cytoplasm, sometimes with apical processes, and mild to moderate nuclear atypia, forming glandular ducts, alveoli or small papillary structures. 6 Mucinous Adenocarcinoma Level Title It occurs on the basis of mucinous metaplasia of the mammary duct epithelium and is more common in women near or after menopause, especially in women over 60 years old. In the carcinoma parenchyma, epithelial mucin accounts for more than half of the component. Most of the mucus is outside the cells, forming mucus lakes; occasionally it is found inside the cells, appearing as signet ring cells. 7Squamous cell carcinoma Derived from the mammary ductal epithelium with squamous metaplasia. The carcinoma was all typical squamous cell carcinoma, with visible intercellular bridges and keratinization. If other types of cancer undergo partial squamous metaplasia, they are not included in this list. 8Paget's disease of the nipple Also known as eczematous carcinoma of the nipple, this disease was first described by Paget (1874). After years of research, it is currently believed that the tumor cells under the microscope are large in size, with rich and lightly stained cytoplasm, often vacuolated, large and obviously irregular nuclei, and occasional nuclear division. Breast cancer type 4: Invasive carcinoma of no special type 1Invasive lobular carcinoma Lobular carcinoma has obvious extralobular invasion, including small cell invasive carcinoma. 2Invasive ductal carcinoma Ductal carcinoma clearly infiltrates the stroma, but the infiltration does not exceed half of the cancer parenchyma. If more than half, it is named according to the main morphology of invasive carcinoma. 3. Sclerosing cancer Cancer cells are arranged in thin bundles or scattered, rarely forming glandular structures, and the fibrous interstitial component accounts for more than two-thirds and is dense. 4 Medullary carcinoma The cancer nests are dense and sheet-like or mass-like, and may have glandular structures. The cancer substance accounts for more than two-thirds of the total mass, and there may be a small number of lymphocytes and plasma cells in the interstitium. 5Simple cancer It is between scirrhous cancer and medullary cancer, that is, the ratio of cancer parenchyma to fibrous stromal components is similar. Cancer cells mainly form irregular solid bundles or small stains, and may also have glandular structures. 6Adenocarcinoma Cancer cells are of uniform size, with rich cytoplasm that may secrete, darkly stained nuclei, and frequent nuclear divisions. Cancer cells are arranged in duct-like patterns, with multiple layers, disordered polarity, and a lack of basement membrane. They grow invasively in the stroma. Cancer cells may also be arranged in cords or pieces, with the duct-like arrangement accounting for more than one-half. |
