Is 6mm of pelvic fluid serious?

Pelvic effusion is a very serious disease, which can easily cause pelvic adhesions and fallopian tube obstruction, and even cause infertility in women. Many patients with pelvic effusion are caused by inflammation in the body. However, during menstruation, women will also have some effusion in the pelvis, which is a normal phenomenon. So is 6mm of pelvic effusion serious?

First, is 6mm of pelvic effusion serious? Pelvic effusion is a common sign of chronic pelvic inflammatory disease, often due to failure to thoroughly treat acute pelvic inflammatory disease, or the patient's poor physical condition and prolonged course of the disease. There are many treatment methods now, including surgery, hot water sitz bath, acupuncture, Chinese medicine enema, etc. So what Chinese medicine should be taken for pelvic effusion? In fact, this disease is difficult to cure with medication alone. The most important thing is to find out the cause and then treat it.

Second, 6mm of effusion is within the normal range. The normal value of pelvic effusion should be less than 10 mm. Physiological pelvic effusion is less than 10 mm. During a woman's menstrual period and a few days after her menstrual period, some menstrual blood may flow back along the fallopian tubes into the pelvic cavity, and a small amount of fluid will be seen on ultrasound. Or after ovulation, the follicular fluid will flow into the pelvic cavity along with the ruptured follicle. The amount is usually very small, and a slightly larger amount can be seen under ultrasound. These two types of diseases can disappear naturally and do not require treatment and will not cause harm to the body.

Third, after women suffer from pelvic effusion, due to the pelvic adhesion of the human body, pelvic effusion will cause symptoms of frequent infertility in women, and it is very likely to cause blockage of the fallopian tubes, thus leading to symptoms of female infertility. Because the pelvic effusion of the human body constantly stimulates some related parts, pelvic effusion will increase the risk of women developing ovarian cancer, and even adverse symptoms such as back pain. Many women will have abnormal leucorrhea and irregular menstruation, and there is a high possibility of some adverse changes, which brings great danger to women's physical health, which seriously affects their daily life and work. Women will experience many uncomfortable symptoms after suffering from pelvic effusion.

If the pelvic effusion exceeds 10 mm, it is mostly pathological pelvic effusion. At this time, pelvic effusion is relatively serious. Most pelvic effusions are caused by exudate from chronic pelvic inflammation. If there are chronic infection lesions, it may be an inflammation of the gynecological system such as pelvic inflammatory disease, adnexitis, endometriosis, ovary, or fallopian tube. It may also be caused by tuberculosis or tumors. In a few cases, it is caused by ectopic pregnancy rupture, corpus luteum rupture, pelvic abscess, chocolate cyst, and ovarian cancer. Therefore, physiological pelvic effusion needs to be treated actively.
