What are the treatments for benign breast tumors?

Benign breast tumors cannot be ignored by female friends, because this disease will threaten their health. Current treatments include surgical treatment and drug treatment. At the same time, we should also pay attention to prevention and scientific diet in life.

1. Surgery

Conventional fibroadenomas that are clearly diagnosed do not require surgical treatment, but require close observation and regular check-ups. Improving the diagnostic accuracy of breast fibroadenomas is the key to reducing the surgical rate.

Surgery is the most effective treatment for breast fibroadenoma. Whether it is common fibroadenoma or special types of fibroadenoma such as juvenile fibroadenoma and giant fibroadenoma, it can be cured as long as it is completely removed. Surgical treatment of single breast fibroadenomas is easy, but surgical treatment of multiple breast fibroadenomas is more difficult. For multiple scattered breast fibroadenomas, if all of them are removed, the breast will be covered with incisions, which is obviously unacceptable. Consideration may be given to removing larger tumors or suspicious masses, while typical fibroadenoma masses may be observed. During the observation process, if the mass is found to be enlarged or a malignant tumor cannot be ruled out, surgical treatment may be performed in a timely manner.

2. Medication

It generally cannot make existing breast fibroadenomas disappear, but it can inhibit tumor growth and the occurrence of new tumors. Traditional Chinese medicine treatment can be considered. The principle of traditional Chinese medicine is to soothe the liver and relieve depression, and resolve phlegm and disperse nodules. It can be used in patients with small, basically confirmed breast tumors or in patients with multiple breast fibroadenomas after selective resection. Endocrine drug treatment is generally not recommended.

3. Prevention

To prevent breast cancer, you need to do the following: 1. Eat regularly and eat less fried, greasy food, out-of-season fruits and vegetables, and quickly ripened poultry and livestock. ②Control your diet and maintain adequate exercise to avoid obesity. ③ Use health products, beauty cosmetics, and breast enhancement products containing estrogen with caution, and use less disposable plastic products. ④Maintain a good attitude and a healthy pace of life. ⑤ Wear less bra binding or tights, and choose a cotton bra that is suitable in size, soft, breathable, and highly absorbent. You can remove the bra when sleeping. ⑥Moderate and regular sexual life can promote blood circulation in the breasts and is beneficial to the health of women's breasts. ⑦ After entering puberty, it is recommended that female friends adhere to correct breast self-examination every month. ⑧It is recommended that women over 30 years old have a physical examination at a breast specialist every year, and women over 40 years old have a physical examination at a specialist every six months. If necessary, breast ultrasound and X-ray examinations can be performed regularly. For women who have not reached menopause, it is best to have the test 3 to 4 days after the menstrual period ends. ⑨ Treat breast diseases correctly. If you find problems such as breast lumps, you should seek medical attention in time to facilitate early diagnosis and early treatment.
