During the lactation period, it is very important for women to have normal mammary glands, because only when the mammary glands are unblocked can the milk flow be normal. But many people don’t know how to judge whether their breast ducts are unobstructed. In fact, the method of judgment is very simple. As long as the milk supply is normal, the mammary duct is unobstructed. If the mammary glands are blocked, certain methods can be used to unclog them. Below, I will introduce to you several methods of clearing the breast glands! 1. Press and knead in the shape of rice Find the eight mammary ducts. Which eight are they? With the nipple as the center, draw the breast in a rice shape and determine the eight major mammary glands to be massaged: start massaging each breast from the breast root point, and rub the eight mammary glands in the rice shape, 5 circles each for light, medium and heavy movements. That is, first lightly rub each mammary duct for 5 circles in a clockwise direction, and then rub each medium and heavy mammary duct for 5 circles also in a clockwise direction. (That is, the intensity increases from light to heavy) 2. Thumb massage It is best to apply some vegetable oil on the breasts when massaging with your thumb to reduce friction on the skin. Rubbing method: Place the tip of your thumb downward, with 2/3 of the tip of your thumb touching the breast. Use small circles to rub from the base of the breast toward the nipple. Knead 5 circles 5 times in a row. Remember to push upwards in a circular motion using the strength of your fingertips, starting from the base of the breast and moving toward the nipple. From the base of the breast to the edge of the areola, all the mammary ducts are cleared in turn. 3. Finger milking Thumb and index finger milking method: Place the left index finger and the right thumb opposite each other to squeeze out the milk, or place the right index finger and the left thumb opposite each other; Index finger and index finger milking method: Place the index fingers of both hands opposite each other around the areola and press down hard at the same time to squeeze out the milk. 4. Acupoint Pressing Press (Rugen point, Tanzhong point, Qimen point, Riyue point, Hegu point, Shaoze point, Quchi point, etc.) for 1-3 minutes, the acupoint effect is very good. The effectiveness of acupressure depends on the accuracy of the acupoints. The acupoints must be pressed on the sunken areas, and it will only be effective if soreness, swelling and pain occur. Reminder: Since the mammary sinuses in the areola are harder, the massage time is longer. It is recommended that mothers watch short videos on breastfeeding when stimulating milk production, because the secretion reflex is the most direct and effective way to stimulate mothers to produce milk. Therefore, mothers can stimulate the pituitary gland to secrete oxytocin and prolactin through vision, hearing, and touch by watching short videos on breastfeeding, and the breast cells will produce milk after being activated. |
